No one lives here

She felt a cold shiver run down her back when the words made their way out of his mouth. If no one lives here, then who is that lady and the girl she saw earlier? it was obvious at what and who they were...

"Don't you see Clara? we're in the middle of a broken building which looks as if it was a hotel once and there's people who vanish" he pushed his screwdriver back into its rightful habitat

"And?" she looked around her shoulders to make sure nothing was peeping out behind her, thankfully there wasn't, but was she sure...

"Well, there's basically ghosts who have inherited this place as their home"

She shuddered at that

Before he could make anymore remarks about what was going on, something interrupted, which were the lights clicking on and off. Clara on the other hand was pretty sure she could hear laughter peering its way through the hall way, child's laughter.

"Doctor..." she whispered

"Shush, listen..."

They both froze their movements and listened to the foot steps trailing above their heads which tuned through their ears. Maybe now was not the time to stand still and admire the rhythm of the foot steps for too long, they needed to get their selves out of here.

"This way" she heard him say, she felt his familiar hand take hers, luckily it wasn't anyone else...

Now that the lights were pretty much off, they both walked steadily out of the library making sure they didn't bump into things or bump into floating shadows...

They walked into the hall in silence, they could thankfully hear each other breathing and the foot steps still rummaging through the atmosphere. Clara wouldn't speak or ask him anything at a time like this, her voice was probably clogged up in her throat, she couldn't even see him, only feel her trapped hand in his.

"Clara, your still with me right?" he whispered as he looked down to come in contact with her face, but all was pitch black.

"Yeah"

He moved his hand over to his pocket and returned the sonic back into his free hand, allowing it to light up a tiny amount of space, but it was still enough to live around the surroundings.

"Clara can you see me n-" his hand felt empty all of a sudden...

He tilted the sonic over to Clara's side, she wasn't there. The green light which flashed out of the sonic was all that was there which replaced where Clara stood.

Just as he was about to start his search for Clara his vision drew him to a dead body resting on the stair case, there was blood dripping down from the stitched mouth. He made slow steps forward, clenching on to the sonic as he did. There were more parts to the body which came more clearer, it's eyes seemed to be poked out and a ear sliced in half which was stained with blood.

At that moment he felt a tap on his shoulder...
