"WHERE I'M FROM" POEM
Created by: Jamiah A. Green

I am from a place of where my heart stands in gold,
My soul can go numb, my blood runs out cold.
My face can show joy,
But my eyes can show hurt.
There is times where I feel like I'm trapped inside a fairytale curse.

I am from from a place where I don't know who I am.
Is it bad to list my personality and say it belongs to someone else?
Is it bad to say that when I look in the mirror, sometimes I don't know who's staring back at me?
There were times when I felt like the world didn't make any sense.
Like, "Why am I still here?"
"What's the purpose of it?"
I felt like I was all alone in darkness.

I am from a place of where I'm all mixed up in my emotions.
What should I do?
Where can I go?
No one cares until something really bad happens.
Who am I?
Why can't no one tell me?
When they do, how comes it feels wrong?
I guess I'm just a forever lost girl,
Forever lost and a mystery to you.
