prolouge 

    Curiosity is what got her. She just wanted to know how much she could find out about the guy at the bar with green eyes that looked like he had a secret. She got a lot more than she bargained for. And so her life collided with his and demons she had forgotten and didn’t know she had we dragged out of the closet. For a long time she had worked up this wall to keep things like this out of her head. She had worked up a wall to keep guys like him out.

     But here’s where she ended up. Looking at all the men with guns, men that reminded her of a past she thought she had forgotten. They were supposed to be the good guys, like her father had tried to tell her once upon a time. But they were doing was anything but good. And here she was in love with one of the ‘good guys’. So now she was faced with an ultimatum. Either she was going keep fighting to put out this wildfire till her death, or she was going to turn away from the best and worst thing to ever happen to her. Her mother had warned her about the drugs in the streets but never the ones with green eyes and a heartbeat, and now she was addicted to one but not the side effects that came with him.
