The god like man looked stunned which also gave me enough time to fix my scarf and fly past him, knowing I had no explanation to the questioning upon his face.
I heard the thumping of feet behind me but at this point, I had no time to worry about him so using my unnatural speed I'd managed to reach the kitchen in time to see the meal mother prepared being taken to our dining area.
Rushing forward as the place the dishes on the table I pushed through the doors quite loudly apparently if the number of eyes on me had anything to do with that.
I ignored their questioning glances and spoke to our workers. "Remove everything from this table including the jugs of water"
Mother stood and walked towards me warily as she put her hand on my shoulder I moved out of the way still feeling the burning anger of our people nearly being framed, by treason.
"Mother, father please meet me in the kitchen so I may speak with you"
As we turned to leave I again make eye contact with the guard but I brushed him off cause this was more important. As we made it into the kitchen I shut the double doors behind my parents.
"I sensed a presence that wasn't welcome here" the look that crossed my father's face was sudden rage, "he was here and his involvement was with the king, I have already dealt with him handing out a warning"
father looked at me and mother just stood by silently like all the woman in our village should be. "this is why I don't condone such important guest father imagine what would've happened had I not intervened".
"Karania it's important for you to be hidden I'm grateful you thought for the kingdom's sake but now these people could possibly be after you"
" I know that father but they will be dealt with if or when that time comes". Kanin walked in at that moment with a look of anger on his face, of course being a few years older than me kaanin has always been.
"Kara father is right it seems as though you do not even understand the severity of this situation" I looked down knowing I was in the wrong and that I should've been more aware of who was watching me
"you do understand that what that guard has seen will now land you in training with the king, I don't know whether or not we'll ever see you again they'll rip out your emotions.. what will I do if I can't even protect you".
Knowing how Kanin felt made me feel even worse "I'm sorry brother I did not mean for all of this to happen I... I just wanted to protect our people forgive me father, mother I'm sorry.
"There is nothing we can do now to change what's happened, let us return we must speak and plan out what we must do" as my father spoke the grim look on his face not leaving once.
We walked back out to the table I looked up and saw all the king's guards looking towards me and the king himself. Feeling uncomfortable with all the attention I hid slightly behind father.
"we understand that there has been a disturbance from an unwelcome visitor, and we'd like for you to join us in the study so we may speak of what we must do"
They all looked towards Kanin as he spoke with fluid confidence but I still felt the hot stare from the Emerald eyed guard sneaking a glance to see if I was right and unsurprisingly enough I was.
I felt myself still, his eyes were drawing me in as if calling to me, not wanting to embarrass myself anymore, I looked towards my brother to see him and everyone else in the room silently watching our exchange,
I felt the color rising on my tan skin which hopefully hid the reddish tint. "Uh... um sorry could you please repeat that brother"
Kanin who was now glaring into the other guards head looked back toward me and motioned towards the door "go to the study the king wishes to speak with you alone, and I saw the way you looked at him Karania pay attention to please"
Kanin thought in his mind, knowing I'd be able to hear him. My eyes stung slightly I knew my eyes must've gone brighter and Kanin knew I had gotten the message.
I made my way toward the study knowing that the guards and the king would be right behind me. I opened the doors
