Shylie:
Guess what? I'm moving back to my hometown, can't wait to see my old friends at school. See you soon! ;)
I sighed noticing the text message was sent to multiple people, not just me. This is just my fucking luck. Now I'll have Carly, Aubrey, and Shylie to deal with. Good thing I have the weekend to prepare.

I woke up the next morning and didn't know what to feel. I had to keep telling myself that no matter what happens next week, I have to get through it. That I'll be seeing Demi soon. I have to stay strong for her.
Fortunately breaking me from my thoughts, Shane sent me a message. He told me he would be here in a few minutes to pick me up. We decided today was a great day to go get the tickets from the radio station since it's cloudy and there's slight rain. Since I was being lazy this morning, I didn't have time to put much thought into my outfit. I quickly slipped on some dark wash skinny jeans and a black t-shirt with a hoodie. For shoes, instead of wearing my normal converse, I decided on my favorite black combat boots.
I heard the engine of Shane's truck outside of the apartment. I grabbed my phone which held the directions and walked towards the door. Before leaving, I yelled,
"Miranda, I'm going out!" I rolled my eyes as I got no response. Whatever, she can't say I didn't tell her. Just to be on the safe-side, I scribbled out a note saying,
Be back soon. Call me if you need me. ~Kara.
As I hopped in Shane's truck and buckled myself in, he greeted me with a smile.
"Morning, babe. Do you have the directions?" I felt my face flush as he called me babe. Even though he's said it before, I'm still not used to it. I took out my phone putting it on my lap.
"I have them on my phone. It's a long drive, about 45 minutes away." I replied.
"I'm ready if you are." He grinned, looking over at me. I nodded my head, giving him a slight smile back. The ride there was fun. It's always fun riding in the car with Shane. We chatted for a while about stupid, meaningless things just to make each-other laugh. We even listened to Demi's songs on shuffle through Shane's iPod that was plugged into the truck. He's gotten every single one of her songs. I guess you could say, I've turned him into a full-blown Lovatic now.
"Here we are!" I exclaimed, as we pulled into the radio station's parking lot. I still can't believe this is happening. I gave Shane the proof we needed to pick up the tickets. He decided to run inside and get them, while I stayed in the truck.
I saw him return a few minutes later, walking giddily towards the truck holding a few different colorful pieces of paper. He instantly handed them to me once he got back in the truck. My eyes scanned over the tickets that read Meet&Greet. This is actually happening! I clutched the tickets tightly in my hand, careful not to let anything happen to them.
Once we got back on the road again, it was about 1 in the afternoon. I could feel myself becoming incredibly hungry. I haven't eaten in about a day, which is by far the longest I've ever gone without food. So much has been happening, I really haven't had time to think about food. Which I guess, is a good thing. I definitely need to lose the weight.
"Do you wanna stop somewhere for lunch?" Shane asked, glancing over at me while still paying attention to the road.
"Um, I'm not that hungry right now. I can always just get something back at the apartment." My stomach made a loud grumbling noise, instantly giving me away. Why now? He can't find out I'm avoiding food, along with my self-harm issues.
"Is that your stomach? You must be starving. C'mon let's just go out. It's on me, don't worry about paying or anything." He insisted. I didn't want to seem anymore suspicious so I gave in and replied, "Alright."
We settled on a local diner. The waiter led us to a booth and gave us our menus. I felt bad that Shane paid for the gas to get us all the way here. Now he's offering to pay lunch which makes me feel even worse considering I probably won't be eating much. I tried not to let it get to me too much, though.
"Good Afternoon, what can I get you two?" The waiter asked cheerfully, ready to take our order.
"I'll get a regular cheese burger, some fries, with a coke. Please." Shane answered, closing his menu and handing it to the guy.
I hesitated before saying, "I'll just get a salad with water, please." I didn't make any eye contact with Shane as I handed my menu to the waiter, also. We sat in silence while waiting for our food. Shane was texting on his phone and I was caught up in my thoughts.
Our food arrived very quickly. Seeing the large plate filled with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and tons of other vegetables soaked in dressing made me feel sick. I slowly took my fork and started picking at things. I took a few small bites and forced it down.
Carly and Aubrey are right, you are a fat-ass.
Do you know how many calories are in that? You'll gain over 10 pounds!
I tried to ignore the disgusting thoughts that entered my head every time I took a bite. Once I got the point where I felt like I was going to throw up, I immediately put my fork down.
"Hey, are you alright?" Shane asked, sensing how uncomfortable I was. He was completely finished with his meal. Why do I have to be like this? Why can't I just be normal?
I weakly nodded my head. "Is that all your going to eat?" He asked quietly, giving me a sympathetic look. I looked down at my plate, barely one-half of my salad eaten. I knew I had to atleast try and keep it down. Fighting the urge to run to the bathroom, I mumbled,
"I'm sorry." Instead of asking more questions or telling me to eat more, he simply put his hand over mine.
"It's alright. We'll get through this together, okay? I'm here for you." He lightly kissed the top of my hand. "I know your going through a lot right now, it's okay if your not ready or you say no." He slightly rambled, before deeply looking me in the eyes and asking,
"Kara, would you officially be my girlfriend?"
A/N: I hope this is alright. This chapter was going to have lots more in it, but I figured I could just post Chapter 13 later tonight or tomorrow! I apologize if something doesn't make sense, yesterday I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed and I'm still sleepy. I'll be bed ridden for a few days so that gives me more time to write atleast! Thanks for all of the support with this story! Ily all! <3
My Question:
What is your favorite movie?
I don't really have a favorite.
Questions on Chapter 12:
What do you think about Shylie moving back to Kara's town/school?
More cute moments (like this chapter) or drama?
Any suggestions for the future?
