The familiar breeze that carried the ever so lovely fragrances of the forests, the sun that kisses your skin as you wandered, and the slight, tangy feeling as you smelled the nearby ocean's scents.
It has been way too long,
She looked up at the wide expanse of sky with a nostalgic glow in her eyes and a joyful smile on her face,
Kanto.

Moon walked along the Vermilion docks, trying her best to ignore the bombinating texts that exploded from her phone. A few people have even come up to her to suggest that she should answer those texts, but Moon simply replied that she'd answer the texts in a different way.But this was getting quite out of hand.
Lillie was too persistent.
Moon knew that Lillie knew that Moon would be arriving in due time, but Lillie just would not stop texting Moon the address of her home and asking her where she was at the moment.
Moon's last reply to Lillie's anticipating texts was over three hours ago, only because Moon had given up trying to keep up with Lillie's bombarding questions.
She sighed from tiredness, glancing around the homely and familiar sights of Vermilion City. A small smile graced her lips once again as she strolled forward, the buzzing of her phone dying away as the sounds of Kanto flooded her ears.
The Pidgeys squawked overhead in the skies, and a few have come down to peck at the remains of food people left on the ground. In the trees beyond, Moon spotted a flock of Spearow screeching as they took to the air, Caterpie in their claws from a successful hunt. Ratatta chattered in the shadow of an empty alleyway down the path Moon walked, and Meowths leaped down to join them, eyes gleaming in the dark.
Incredibly overwhelming, all the nostalgic sights sent Moon's head spinning from happiness. Then a rattle in her bag snapped her out of her daze.
She grinned, and rolled her eyes teasingly as she reached in to grab the circular capsule. Tossing it forward, a flash of red light emitted briefly, and in its place was a sophisticated owl-like creature.
Ruffling its feathers, as it has been inside its Pokeball for the entire trip, the Arrow Quill Pokemon let its gaze focus on everything around it.
'Is this Kanto? This is where you're from? What kind of Island Trials are here? Who are the kahunas? Are people nice here? Do they have Z-Moves? Is it true there are Kanto versions of Alola Pokemon? Can I see one-'
"Hush hush!" Moaned Moon, clutching her head in exasperation, "Honestly! What is it with questions and people, or Pokemon, I know?!" She inhaled deeply, and let out a big sigh, "Xerin, everything will be explained later. You'll get the answer to each question you have later on. Don't worry, buddy." Moon told her Decideye.
Her Decideye, named Xerin, nodded its feathery head adorned with leaves.
'If you say as so." Xerin mind-spoke to her.
Such a clear mind connection between trainer and Pokemon is a bit rare, seeing as the two have to share an extensively deep connection with each other.
Moon smiled, "Good to know you understand. Now... Where did Lillie say she lived..?" She thought and snapped her fingers in victory, "Ah, yes!
Celadon City!"
Xerin tilted his head in thought as he swiveled his owl head around to search for a path to Celadon, freaking out onlookers and passerby. Moon snorted humorously as she noticed Xerin doing incredibly weird angles and positions with his head to impress the people walking by.
"That's enough, you charmer," Moon laughed, "Celadon's this way. Come on," she said, pointing to a passageway north.
She walked towards their exit out of Vermilion, Xerin following close behind. She glanced up and admired the sky, before her gaze was shrouded by trees and her ears were brimmed with the cries of wild Pokemon.
It was great to come back to the home she loved ever so much. She would do her best here,
Ah, yes,
Moon has made a Return.
