The next morning I woke up feeling less tired than I thought I would, a pleasant surprise I graciously accepted. In the bed to the left of me I could hear Mercedes stirring and soon after waking up.

"Good morning." I said as I stretched out the last remnants of sleepiness.

"Morning." She yawned in reply, rubbing her eyes before putting on her glasses.

"You gonna hit the gym this morning?" I asked, as I gathered up some gym clothes from my luggage.

"Nah, I was gonna grab some breakfast with some of the girls. I had meant to invite you but I forgot." She said apologetically. "You should just skip the gym."

"You are such a bad influence." I laughed. "I'll catch up with you guys afterwards."

"If you say so." She shrugged as she put her violet hair up into a messy bun. "I guess you're gonna want the car, then. I'll catch a ride with someone."

"Thanks," I replied nonchalantly. Then I realized what was happening, today. "Oh noooo, today is the day we get our new travel partners assigned for the next month." I reminded her, pouting at the thought of potentially having to travel with someone I wasn't very close with.

"Ugh, oh god I forgot. I really hope I don't get stuck with Ashley we are just not seeing eye to eye, right now."

"Y'all are fighting again? What happened this time?" I couldn't help but rolling my eyes. Those two were childish sometimes. "Actually, nevermind. It's probably dumb and I don't wanna know. I'll see you at the show."

Mercedes just laughed and said, "Wow! So rude!" As I walked out the door, gym bag in hand, and luggage trailing after me. I left my room key with Mercedes so she could just check out for the both of us.

Thirty minutes later, and I was in the gym. Two hours after that I was showered and ready to grab some lunch. I was getting sick of the same old order from Chipotle but I knew I wanted something healthy so I opted for a quaint, little spot I had discovered last time we were in this city.

It was super chill and had a great menu with healthy options that actually tasted really good. I liked to think of it as my secret spot, seeing as how I had never run into anyone here before. That was, until today.

As I was putting cash into the park meter, I peered into the window and noticed a familiar shock of red hair, with a goofy, flat cap perched on top.

"Rami?" I muttered to myself, as I checked to make sure I had my wallet with me. Grinning like a mad woman, I walked casually into the small cafe, cheering internally that Rami hadn't turned around and noticed me, yet. Neither had Kevin or Fergal, who were also there, but they weren't my targets. There was one person ahead of them so I quickly and quietly took my place in line behind Rami, grabbed him by the sides, and went, "Raargh!"

He shrieked, and jumped, effectively startling everyone else in the area, including Fergal and Kevin.

"Jesus Christ, _____! What is the matter with you?!" Rami's scolding fell on deaf ears as I just stood there holding my stomach from laughing so much. I could care less about all the people staring at us; the look on Rami's face was priceless.

When I finally stopped laughing enough to speak, I greeted them all properly. "Hey boys, fancy meeting you all here."

"You're crazy, ______." Fergal said with a chuckle.
