Maxon's POV :

My name is Maxon, I am a prince there are 6 beautiful girls in my home but tonight I will have three that means it's time for me to choose, my heart belongs to America Singer but I am not certain that I hold her heart but there is only one way to find out tonight at dinner I will tug my ear and wait to see if she does the same, then I shall take her to the garden and ask her to marry me.

..........................................................................................................................................................................................That night at dinner when America walks in I gasp in awe she is wearing the most beautiful blue dress, I tug my ear and almost instantly she does the same I let out a breath that I didn't realize I was holding. After dinner I walk straight to her room and we walk out to our usual spot also known as the bench, the cool December air is making me shiver. We we sit down and the first thing she says before I can even say her name is I love you, that gives me the courage to get down on one knee and I say, America my sweet angel I love you so much and there is no one else I love or will ever love more than you in this world my beautiful sweet America will you marry me? There is a long agonizing silence then she kisses me and whispers in my ear yes dear Maxon I will marry you. For what feels like hours we hug and whisper to each other about how we feel about each other.

..........................................................................................................................................................................................The first thing I do the next day at breakfast is send Kris and Celeste home and I instantly regret doing it in front of my mother,father and my dear America. Kris starts bawling and Celeste starts to hit America screaing that she should have the crown and not her. When I come down to help America Celeste screams that no one cares about me that they all just wanted the crown especially not her that's when I lost it. I hit her and told the guards to drag her out and take her home. Then I politely asked Kris to leave with officer Leger when I walk back up to the table where America mother and father are siting the first thing I hear is my mother saying that I did what I had to do and no matter what she is happy with my choice in America. My dad on the other hand started caning me right then and there the screams from mom and America didn't seem to affect him at all then when he stopped after 100 lashes America was already pulling off my ripped shirt and yelling for Mary and the rest of her maids to bring medication for the pain and to stop any infections from starting, she reached into her bag and pulled out bandages as soon as she started cleaning my back her maids came with a large container of medication and within ten minutes my back was heavily medicated and bandaged, you could tell from the speed and efficiency of her work that she had done this many times before. My mother and America lead me to my room and made me lay down to rest then they started asking questions or it was more like my mother questioning America about how long this had been going on, but I was not able to hear her response because the sleep medication took over and I fell into a deep sleep.
