Looking like a cute kid tonight.
Hair dressed up in buns,
Pink necklace round her collar,
Fancy lip-gloss puts glitter on her mouth.The boys are watching her,
The girls admire her,
Her parents are proud.
But she's the only one who knowsThe monster inside of her.
She never shows it
Yet she is affected
By its dark power.Anger, sadness, emptiness
Flash over her face;
Only in that one second.
Nobody knows.When she looks into the mirror
She sees the ugly face of the monster.
Frightened, she closes her eyes;
But it won't go away, the feeling remains.She can't sleep
While the monster destroys her.
She doesn't want to hurt anyone.
She's afraid.
