3rd POV

Dorine traveled through the forest as it started to snow unexpectedly. She decided she should try to find shelter in the awful storm and headed down a dark road with only a single lantern to illuminate the way.. That was when she came across a small dirt path leading to the right

After a while of venturing down the path she saw a large castle come into view. It was dim and scary, but she thought it was her best bet at staying alive. Upon entering the castle she saw a fire burning and heard noises from a kitchen not too far off.

She sat down in front of the large fireplace and warmed up... then she heard a whisper. She looked around but to her dismay no one was there. So she tried relaxing once more, but was interrupted again by another whisper. "Who's there?" She yelled and no one answered.

Then she heard a noise coming from down one of the large hallways leading to the kitchen. She headed down towards the kitchen and found a plate of food and a cup of tea sitting out with steam coming off of them. She was confused, but nonetheless she ignored it and ate the food.

She went to take a sip of her tea, but the cup moved away from her. "Annyeong... Jinyoung hyung told me not to talk, but I wanted to say hello. Sorry..." The cup said and backed away. Dorine sat in shock. A cup had just talked to her.

She stood up and ran out of the castle to her horse who was waiting by the steps. She jumped on and made her way to the castle gates as fast as she could...

A rose...

A beautiful white rose was at the gate...

Mark wanted a rose.

She tried to pick the rose but got stopped by a thorn and saw a drip of blood on her thumb. She went back to pick the rose again, but she was stopped by a hideous beast standing in front of her. Causing her to fall onto the snow and scaring the horse away.

She was dragged off to a dungeon where there was no food and no water. There was nothing there but a stool and a bucket. That's when she let one lone tear slip away as she fell to her knees on the cold floor.

I heard a few yells coming from outside the house and went to check outside of the small house. There stood our horse Grace waiting impatiently by the gate. "Grace!" I yelled and ran up to the midnight black steed. "Where's Eomma!?" I asked loudly as I tried to calm the horse down. "Show me where she is!" I yelled and she let me mount her easily then starting running in the direction of a forest not too far from town.

She ran down a small dirt path with snow covering it and her previous footprints from when they travelled down this path before not long ago. We approached a huge castle that was previously hidden by the trees. It was alluring and mysterious and made me want to run away, but I couldn't. I had to get my mom back.

I got off of the horse quickly while fixing the red hat on my blonde hair and ran inside as fast as I could. Once I got inside I yelled to try to find her. "Eomma?!" I yelled hoping she would yell back, but no answer came. I roamed around the unfamiliar place until I found a set of stairs leading up to a tower. A candle lebrah was sitting in an indent in the stone wall and I grabbed it to see better as I ran up the stairs.

I yelled once more and got an answer back almost immediately. "Mark!" I heard her yell and practically sprinted up the stairs, missing a few steps on the way. I came across a small dungeon holding my mother who was covered in dirt and dust. "Eomma..." I said in a whisper and held onto the bars. "Mark, you have to leave. He will get you too..." She said in a worried tone and I stepped back a bit. "I'm not leaving. I came here to rescue you, not to leave you here for dead." I explained to her.

I soon felt a presence behind me and froze up. "Why are you in my castle!" I heard a low voice yell angrily behind me. "I came to get my Eomma back! She did nothing wrong!" I yelled at the shadow covered figure. "She stole something of mine! She deserves to be in this cell!" He yelled back at me. I didn't even flinch. "What did she steal!" I yelled knowing full well my mother isn't a thief. "She stole a rose." He said and I gave him a look that said 'bitch what'. "A rose?" I repeated and I could see the figure nod. "A ROSE?" I yelled loudly. "Yes I got punished for all eternity with one! And she stole one, out of pure disrespect!" He yelled back at me and I relaxed a bit in sympathy. "I'm sorry you were punished but can you please let her go?" I asked and he growled. "No." He said and started to walk away.

"Can't you let me hug and kiss her goodbye?" I asked. "Eternity can spare a minute." I said and he groaned. "Fine! But once you leave the door closes and you have to leave!" He yelled and me and I went inside the cell to hug my mom. "Eomma!" I yelled and hugged her tightly. "Mark...I'll miss you so much." She replied and I leaned my head on her shoulder. "No. I'll miss you..." I said and pushed her out of the cell and closed the door. "MARK!" she yelled in distress. "I promise I will get out of here. Don't worry." I said and moved back into the cell. "You took her place?" The beast asked me awkwardly. "Yes. She's my Eomma. Why wouldn't I?" I replied and he stared at me shocked before dragging my mom away and out of the castle.

I slumped down to the ground and sat against the wall and let the held up tears slip down my face.
I sat there for hours on end until...

The door opened...
