Natalie's POV

I wandered the slightly crowded streets of New York at eleven o'clock at night. Usually, in most states, people wouldn't be out this late, but in New York few people were still about.

I shoved my hands into my coat pockets and strolled on. I walked a little further when I saw a man coming out of his restaurant. He turned and shoved his key into the door handle and locked it for the night. I guess he noticed my presence walking passed him, because he turned around and nodded. I could barely make out his facial features.

From what I could tell, he had chocolate brown hair and one of those perfect shaped faces. He looked like he was only 20 or so.

I kept walking, only to glance over my shoulder and see him staring at my retreating figure. He snapped out of his trance and proceeded to his car, which happened to be a black Ferrari.

I turned my attention back to walking and noticed a black figure dart into an alley way. I watched down the alley as I walked passed it. I shrugged it off. It was probably just some hobo looking for his next meal.

Just as I was about to cross the street, I felt someone grab my arm and yank me into a dark alley. I tried to scream and managed to let out a small cry for help, but the person covered my mouth with their hand. Of course, this wasn't going to stop me from getting away, so I bit at the hand.

They yanked it away from my mouth and slapped me. Hard. I fell to the cold ground, loosing my balance.

"We'll see if you ever bite me again, won't we princess?" The stranger said. I shuttered at his voice. It was so raspy and uncomfortable. I moaned and rubbed my cheek where he slapped it.

I sat up against the wall I was near. I winced at the pain as I opened my eyes slightly. The man was going through something away from me. It sounded like he was looking for something. I slowly stood up and looked over his shoulder.

My eyes got huge when I saw he was loading a gun. I quickly sat back down as he began to turn around. "Now princess, we can do this the easy way or the hard way." He said pointing the gun at me.

"Easy way." I quickly stumbled out. "Good. I was hoping you would make this easy." He replied slyly.

He turned around once more and pulled something out of his pocket. He sprayed something around it and all over it. Then he spun rapidly around on his heels and crouched by me. "Just inhale this cloth and everything will be taken care of princess."

As bad as I didn't want to inhale whatever was on that cloth, I knew he would force me to anyways if I didn't. I was about to inhale when something or someone ran around the corner and tackled the stranger to the ground.

I was stunned that someone was even out here this late anymore. It was then that I realized I was slowly slipping out of consciousness. The last thing I remember hearing was a gunshot.
