Jongin was relieved to see Sehun eating the food he made without a complaint. But for Sugar, it’s another story.

He crouched down beside the small animal and rubbed his ears, “What’s wrong, Sugar? Not hungry? You always liked this combo…”

“Maybe try giving him cat food?” Sehun suggested. The meal combos are planned out by Jongin to match his taste preferences as Sugar. So it’s only natural that a normal cat wouldn’t like it as much as he did.

Remembering how Sugar rejected to cat food when he first came, Jongin hesitated a little, but decided to try again since he didn’t want the kitten to be hungry. And to his utter surprise, Sugar started munching away the moment he poured the contents into his bowl.

“Why the frown?”

Jongin shook his head and walked towards the dining table, taking his seat again, “Just a little disappointed that he doesn’t like the things I make anymore, just when I came up with new combinations too...”

“That’s okay. I like your cooking, and would be grateful if I could eat it every day from now on.”

Jongin chuckled at those words and said, “But you came so suddenly I couldn’t properly welcome you back. Will you be staying abroad for this long in the future?”

“Don’t worry. If anything comes up again, I’d be sure to tell you first.”

“Thanks.” Jongin smiled, “Wait, you live by yourself, right? I can go help you clean up in the afternoon.”

It’s Sehun’s turn to frown this time. There’s no doubt his apartment will be filled with dust from his four-month absence, and it’d be good to clean it. But…

“If my place is clean, will you kick me out?” He pouted, staring at the person he lived under the same roof with for the past few months.

“…You can stay here if you like. I…I won’t kick you out.” Jongin muttered, feeling his cheeks heat up, “But let’s go bring your stuff over.”

Sehun’s expression lightened up instantly. He leaned over towards Jongin for a hug and clung to him like a large house cat, “You’re the best.”

He looked up, his face just inches away from Jongin’s. He gulped. Here it goes. His eyes slowly closed, and felt his lover’s lips pressing up against his own. They were soft and gentle. They lingered in one position for a moment, then suddenly they spread, and Sehun found his lips spreading over the other pair, as if they belonged there. Jongin wrapped his arms around Sehun’s neck and hugged him closer, while Sehun let his arms drop and found their way around Jongin’s waist. Slowly and teasingly, he let his tongue recoil from his lips and slide into Jongin’s, exploring every inch of his cavern. He heard him groan, and smiled in satisfaction. Jongin returned the smile, and right then Sehun felt as if a spark just blew into a million pieces in between them. He loved Jongin. So much. And there’s no way he’s going to let anything pull them apart.

A dim living room with dust covering every furniture and possible unseen dirt floating around – That’s the sight Sehun saw when he entered his apartment. He scowled and walked back out, turning to face his lover, “Cleaning this place up will take forever. I’ll call someone here instead.”

Jongin declined the suggestion, as he didn’t want to waste unnecessary money and is worried things might get stolen, leaving Sehun no choice but to approve. They bought face masks and temporary aprons from the convenience store downstairs before starting on their major labor.
