Chapter Song: Narco by Timmy Trumpet
My outfit
I woke up at the end of class when the next song of one of my older albums. Seeing that it was the end of math, I gathered my stuff heading towards the door. A foot blocked my path, tripping me.
"Ow. That's gonna leave a bruise."
An all too familiar voice boomed in laughter. Please don't be anyone popular. Please let it be bunnies, or Cameron Dallas. Hell, I'd be okay if it Satan.
I stayed on the floor to gather my stuff. "I'm glad my pain helps you sleep at night." I noticed that my headphones were gone.
When I stood, I was face to face with the most popular guy in school, Chase Knight. No, check that, I was as tall as his shoulder, but I am 5'7. Chase is the pride and joy of our school, just because he was the quarterback it doesn't make you royalty. His ex-girlfriend is actually my sister. Though he's never been to my house, our parents are friends. Not like I expect him to know that. But, honestly he makes a school uniform look good.
"I does. It's also extremely funny how you listen to Rebel, I thought you listened to classical. But she is going on tour in a couple weeks. Maybe you could try scrape up some money to see her when she comes to Miami." And with he walked out of the classroom tossing my headphones backwards towards me, and I caught them with ease. Jerk. Hope you die slowly.
After stopping by my locker, I go to lunch and find my friends, already at our table. Sam and Dylan were looking at a laptop and talking. Becca was sketching what I thought was makeup designs. I'm glad I brought my sketchpad and laptop, I promised I would help design RebelM's outfits, makeup masks, and the cover art to my new single that was going to be released at my concert at club e11ven in two weeks.
I tapped Beca's shoulder after getting situated. "Hey. What are the lovebirds up to?"
She glanced over at me then went back to her sketch. "Oh, you know how we use your racing skills to earn money?" I nodded, waiting for her to continue. Dylan and Sam snapped their gazes up and shot daggers at her. "Hey, you two nitwits didn't tell her four days ago, so I will. The races were apparently a circuit, and this next one is the finals. The stakes on losing are high, we could lose the 50 million you won. And since you went as RebelM if you win the guy could tell the police what your doing, and arrest you. And the other competitor has just been found out."
I looked over at the two idiots who put me in this situation three months ago. "You two said nothing about the street racing being a circuit, you said that it would be just a way to get money for equipment, and everything else. And who the heck is the competitor."
They looked at each other, guilty, but Sam spoke. "We have a perfectly good explanation for what we did, right Dylan?"
"Uh-", he wasn't to finish because Becca interrupted him.
"They knew that the last resort to get enough money in time. Plus, they also knew, if you knew the truth you wouldn't have agreed to do it." Becca stated. She had a point though, I wouldn't have agreed to it if I'd known.
"Okay. I ask again who is the guy I'm facing?"
In unison they all answered, "Chase."
Oh god. "Okay."
