Robin blinked against the sunlight filling her bedroom, wondering what time it was.  She’d been so tired she slept all night without waking once.  She couldn’t even remember dreaming.  She barely remembered coming to bed.  As the memory of Todd’s arms around her brought a smile to her lips she felt someone stir beside her.  Surprised, she rolled to her back, knowing it definitely wasn’t a cat.

She was met with a sleepy smile from Todd, his hair tousled, bare shoulders peeking out of the blankets.  He laid on his stomach, his arms hugging the pillow his head rested on, watching her.  “Morning Dove.”

She smiled too and rolled onto her side, facing him.  “Morning.  Why are you still here?”

“Apparently I was just as tired as you, because I fell asleep too.  By the time I woke up and realized what time it was I figured there was no sense in going home.  You don’t mind, do you?”

Robin shook her head.  “Of course not.  I just wasn’t expecting to find you in my bed this morning.”

Todd wiggled his eyebrows.  “Utterly scandalous.  Better find your scarlet letter to wear today.”

Robin laughed.  “I won’t tell if you won’t.”

“Doesn’t matter.  You were a proper lady, didn’t try to take advantage of me at all.”

“I was too tired to take advantage of anything other than sleep.  Which is good, ‘cause I don’t think I own any scarlet letters.”

Todd smiled.  “Sam’s the only one who knows we’re together yet, anyway.  You don’t have to worry about your wardrobe until dinner tonight.”

“Good point,” Robin conceded.  They had managed to keep their relationship status under wraps, instead inviting everyone out for dinner and drinks tonight so they could tell them all at once.  Sam had been happy to keep his mouth shut and be a co-conspirator in planning the evening.

Robin held Todd’s gaze, studying his face for a moment, letting the past few days swirl through her mind.  They had covered so much ground in a short period of time, but there was one thing she’d yet to ask him.  He hadn’t brought it up either, but she supposed her status on the matter was pretty obvious.

“Can I ask you a question?”

“From the look on your face it must be a serious one,” he said, rolling to his side. “Lay it on me.”

Robin wasn’t quite sure how to phrase it.  She didn’t want to sound silly asking Todd if he’d ever had sex before.  He didn’t act like a virgin, yet she knew he didn’t indulge in sex before marriage.  At least not now.  She wasn’t sure how she’d feel about it if he was a virgin, especially since she wasn’t.

“Did you sleep with any of the girls in your past?”  She had to stop herself from cringing as she asked.

Todd, however, didn’t even blink.  “Yep.  Two of them.  One when I was a Senior in high school.  The other was Jenna.  I didn’t start taking my faith, or its code of conduct, seriously until Jenna and I broke up.”  He paused a moment before adding, “Does that bother you?”

Robin shook her head, hoping her smile didn’t look as giddy with relief as she felt.  “No, not at all.  It’s kind of a relief, actually.”

“Really?” Todd asked with a skeptical smile.

“Really.  I don’t know why, but I would’ve felt weird if you were a virgin when I’m obviously not.”

“Were you when you met David?”

Robin shook her head again.  “No.  I’m kinda like you.  I didn’t get serious about my faith until after David died and it was the only thing I had left to fall back on.”
