(Part 1/2)
**SNOW'S P.O.V**
"I'll be sure to make sure Mr. Wolf gets to it as soon as he can," I smile politely as the last guy leaves. Come to think of it I haven't seen Bigby at all today, which is oddly unusual for the wolf as he tends to hang out here with me waiting for me to finish my business, which basically never happens because i'm a workaholic.
Sheriff, can you please come to the office now?
I wait for a little bit for a response, but frown as I get none. That was different from Bigby, too, he always responds to my texts. Like last night, we were talking about some weird stuff that I refuse to get into and he'd always reply, even if it was with sarcastic remarks.
Bigby? Answer me.
Go away
I blinked a little bit, surprised at the sudden text. Something most definitely was going on with him, I know he's mean but he's never to blatant with me, unless he was goofing around which I doubt he is right now.
Are you okay?
I said go away! Stop texting me!
I decided to call him, this wasn't like Bigby. He would always answer my calls, always. And I was right, after the third ring the sound of the phone being picked up sounded into my ear. "Bigby?" I said into the phone, I would've thought he hung up if I didn't hear the slight sounds of breathing on the other line.
"...."
"Big, what's wrong? You're acting differently," I asked, concerned. There was still no response, except I heard shuffling now and the sound of the phone being placed on something, probably the desk he has there.
"Shit, Bigby! Not on the carpet!" the familiar sound of Colin was heard, before I heard Bigby groan and pick up the phone again, the breathing went from calm to rapid in a quick second. It was as if he was trying to calm himself down.
"Bigby? Answer me, are you okay?"
"Mmh," was all she got in response as she heard more shuffling. I furrowed my eyebrows I grew more worried by the second. "What's wrong?" I asked, worried.
"I feel weird," he finally says, his voice unnaturally raspy and deep. He feels weird? What does he mean by that? "What do you mean?" I respond.
"Got this really weird, actually really painful, feeling in my stomach and it refuses to go away, and i'm really hot." he answers and it takes me a few seconds to realize that Bigby, for the first time since I've known him, was sick. Bigby was known for his really strong immune system, other then the other known thing that he was the Big Bad Wolf. It must've been a really bad virus if he's actually got it, because this is probably the first time in his life he's ever gotten sick.
"You want me to come over?" I reply and he just hums in response.
"Why?" he asks and that confuses me.
"Why??" I asks and he hums in response again.
"Why come over? What's the point?" he asks tiredly, as if struggling to stay awake. "Well, whenever someone is sick they always wa-" I was cut off by him, which happens a lot so I just sigh and listen to him.
"Sick? What's 'sick'? I'm confused." he asks clearly confused, as it was evident in his voice. "Well, it's when you. . . um . . . well 'sick' is when you get a painful cramping in your stomach and start vomiting, with a headache above all that and a fever." I answer.
"Well, I got the painful cramping that's for sure. Um, i'm not to- wait, woah! What's a 'fever'?" does he know nothing about sickness? "A fever is when you tend to get a really high body temperature, but yet you're still shivering, with a headache, and sometimes you get delirious." I respond and makes a face as he groans.
"That explains a lot b - Shut the fuck up, Colin!" I giggled as Colin shot back with some dumb remark, "I'll be over in a few seconds." all he does is grunt and hang up. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair, grabbing all of my paperwork and putting it inside my desk deciding to deal with it tomorrow, as I have to help a sick wolf who didn't even know what sick meant.
I walked out of the office I was in and walked over to his apartment, I knocked on the door and waited. Soon, I heard the familiar patting of feet coming closer as Bigby trudged over to the door, opening it swiftly. He looked awful - he was as pale as a ghost with sweat coming down his forehead all the way down to his soaked shirt, his hair was a mess, and one of his hands were wrapped around his waist securely. He visibly shivered from the apparent breeze and ushered me in, the body heat radiating off of him worrying me to a great amount. He soon - very slowly - walked back over to his couch and fell onto it with a soft grunt, curling up into a fetal position. I walked into the kitchen and rinsed a rag in cold water, before walking back to Bigby who looked up with his brown puppy dog eyes, he was staring directly at me curiously.
He stared at the rag as I placed it on his forehead, before letting out a content sigh and closing his eyes, curling up into a ball. "So, this is your first time getting sick?" I sighed as I felt his neck and hissed at the burning sensation. "Jesus, Big! You are burning up!" I exclaimed and grabbed the thermometer and placed it in his mouth, he swished it around with his tongue curiously before I ordered him to stop, he listened and stood still, but still staring at it.
It soon beeped, making Bigby close his eyes tightly and whimper like a dog. Makes sense since he is a wolf. "105.9, that's not good." Bigby doesn't respond as he grunts and whimpers again, his hand making its way back to his stomach again. "Make it stop," he whimpers pathetically, I understood completely, because it was his first time so he didn't know what to do so he couldn't act like the tough guy now.
"I wish I could, pup. Really wish I could," I whispered sympathetically as I rubbed his back, his hand subconsciously rubbing his stomach. The grumbling of his stomach was audible, as I could hear it from where I was sitting. His eyebrows scrunched in pain as he curled into a ball more, if that was even possible with the way he was now. He shivered so I grabbed the blanket Colin handed to me and draped it across his shoulders, him sighing relaxed. "I've never felt this way before," he whispers brokenly, looking into my eyes.
"I know," I reply sadly, hating to see the pain in his eyes. "Get some sleep, Bigby, okay?" I say and he nods, shutting his eyes and soon enough, I heard his breathing even out. I decided to stay the night and I laid back, letting darkness consume me.
