We were in there a long time. We sat in complete silence for half the time. I wondered if it was because of what happened earlier. He stood up and went over to the door. Jamie looked so worried and i didn't blame him. I was so scared that my mom would come home and then she would get killed.
He walked over to me and held out his hand. I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up. When i stood up he pulled me close to him. A sudden rush went to my head and i got dizzy. He picked me up and carried me to my brother Gabe's room. He put a damp washcloth on my head and took my temperature.
My temperature was normal and he looked confused. I didn't want to tell him i haven't ate all day.
"Have you ate anything today."
"Yeah......."
"Okay do you want to answer that again but this time tell the truth."
"Fine i haven't ate all day."
"Why?"
"I wasn't hungry."
Jamie got up and left the room. I was thinking about following him but I couldn't get up. I heard the cabinets open and shut. Then he came back into the room with some chips.
"Hurry up and eat this chips."
"Why?"
"Because you'recoming with me."
"Where?"
"To my house."
"Okay but why your house?"
"Because you'llbe safe there."
"Okay Im done."
"Good because when we get to my house I'm fixing you something bigger then ten chips."
"But I'm not that hungry."
"Too bad because you're gonna eat."
"Fine I'll eat if it makes you happy."
"YAY and just so you know the only reason I'm doing this is because I care about you."
"Awe really Jamie?"
"Yeah I'll explain everything in the car."
"Okay."
We headed out to the car th a was waiting. We got in and started driving away. I wanted to ask about my parents or my siblings. I wondered what happenedto them. We're they in danger just like me, or were they okay? There were so many questions swirling around in my head.
"Where is my family?"
"We can't find them it's like a stronger force is keeping them from us."
"What do you mean by we can't find them?"
"I have been watching you and your family for a very long time and there has been something that you mother hasn't told you yet."
"But my mom wouldn't keep secrets."
"She was forced to keep this one because if she didn't they would have killed all your family including you."
"Well tell me what it was because they're my family and I have a right to know."
"Are you sure you want to know?"
"Yes Jamie please tell me they're my family and I want to know if they're in danger."
"They're possibly in danger but we don't know yet."
"Why are they in danger?"
"Because she told Gabe and his friend Jake."
"When did she tell them?"
"Last night."
"Why did you grab me after school on Friday?"
"Because I thought that she was gonna put you in danger so I was gonna pull you away from Ty and take you home with me but he got out and I decided to let go."
"If you knew that this was gonna happen why didn't you tell me on Friday?"
"Because they told me not to and then Ty showed up when I was going to tell you."
"How much longer till we get to your place?"
"We're almost there."
"Okay."
The rest of the ride was silent. I was looking out of my window and he was driving. I was thinking about my family and why they were took. He never explain why they were took and I was still wondering why? Instead of asking him I kept my mouth shut because i didn't want to talk to him.
"Here we are."
"Nice."
"Yeah it's pretty nice."
We walked inside and I was amazed. The house was big and super clean. He walls were covered in pictures of Jamie and his family. We went upstairs to his room. When I went into his room he grabbed me by the waist and tried to kiss me. I leaned in and let him kiss me but then this girl walked in.
"Who are you."
"I'm Lexi and you are?"
"Kirsten, Jamie's girlfriend."
"Oh Jamie didn't say he had a girlfriend."
"Lexi can you go to the guest room while me and Jamie has a word in private."
"Okay."
I walked out of his room and shut the door behind me. I could hear them yelling at each other. I went down to my room and sat on the bed. I stayed in there until I heard the door shut and a car start up. I went to the kitchen and found a note. I read it and walked back to my room.
I grabbed my phone and my charger then I left. I walked away from his house and my safety. I knew that there was no going back now. Eventhough I still didn't know my mom's secret and probably never will I had to go save them. No matter what I will save them even if it means taking my own life I will do it just to save them. They were all that mattered to me.
