It all started with a warm sunny day in late august. The war was won and the light had prevailed, and Hogwarts still stood. Down by the lake six students sat in a circle eating lunch on a big red blanket and occasionally tossing some to the giant squid lazily swimming in the shallows. They each had had there fair share of horrors from the war and were not eager to share them with the others, instead they stuck to small talk and various jobs they had considered. Four had come back to retake their seventh year, this opportunity offered to them as three were one the run and the other was either hiding or punished. The last two still had their last year to finish and were happy that the others had dicided to return.

Not far of a similar group was also eating. But their topic was the group sitting along the banks.

"I don't understand why we have to come back." The prince of slytherin declared as he lounged on the blanket they all sat on.

"Oh Draco don't be ridiculous. We need to finish our education of course." Said Pansy Parkinson, one of the three girls in the group of slytherins.

"Fine. But I'm only staying so I can watch Zabini fawn over Weaslette." The young Malfoy

"Hey! That is an invalid claim. I do not 'fawn' over anyone." The slytherin protested.

"Oh please. You so do fawn over her. Only a fool would argue. Anyway. Pansy, how ever did you get the boy who wouldn't die to ask you out?" A curious Greengrass asked the blushing girl to her right.

"Oh you know, how you normally ask someone out. Right after a huge battle you go up to someone and ask if they're single and then make out with them in front of the entire school." The prefect answered casually.

Tracy giggled.

"Well I for one do not appreciate being dragged back." Theo said.

Pansy frowned and Daphne hit him.

"OW!"

"Serves you right Theodore." Laughed Malfoy.

"Are you not supposed to be on my side?"

"Guys, red alert. Teacher." Warned Blaise.

They all grabbed a book and pretended to read as the professor patrolled the castle passed. They however were not exactly convincing as four of them had grabbed the books upside down.

"You know I really hate having to do this every single time a teacher passes." Complained Tracy.

"Oh no. Red alert." Blaise said a few minutes after.

"Not again." Complained Theo.

"Not a teacher. Granger."

"Somehow that's worse." Said Draco.

"Pansy! How are you? Your summer been good? I know Harry took you to dinner a few times but other than that you haven't told me anything." Hermione said as she embraced the slytherin girls one by one.

"What. Don't I get a hug to Granger?" Theo said. Hermione laughed and hugged the boys holding onto Draco a few seconds longer.

Blaise and Pansy exchanged glances asking if the other had noticed. Then turned to the red haired girl who was looking at them questioningly.

Later that night after dinner Pansy pulled the two aside.

"Did you see what i saw" she questioned.

"Most definitely." Ginny answered.

"Little Draky's got a crush!" Exclaimed Blaise rubbing his hands together excitedly.
