Standing up, I glance around to see where my glow in the dark watch hides. Grabbing my steel blade dagger, I crouch down. I brush the unwashed blond hair from my face and tuck it behind my ears. Where the hell Tobias?! He should be here by now. I knew we shouldn't have spent the night in the train. Just because a fucking train broke down, doesn't mean we should stay in it.
I chuckle arrogantly to myself. Yeah, romantic.
"Tobias," I call out in a loud whisper.
"Over here"' he whispers back.
"What the fuck man?"
" I didn't know they'd be out here!"
"You're the head of dauntless patrol. How could you not know?"
"Maybe Eric wanted to do an extra check up." Said Tobias.
Ugh. Eric. Eric is a badass, ugly, emo with too many piercings to count. Disturbingly scary.
"Alexis?" Darn it. My mom. I rub my eyes and I'm suddenly staring at my reflection in the mirror across from my cloud-like feeling bed. I yawn.
"Were you in again?" She asks
"Yeah" I respond dryly.
"Which book this time?"
"Divergent."
"Man, you really like that one."
"I sure do."
"Well, time to go to school. Try not to get bored and go into Lala land. And I mean literally go into lala land."
"It's Wonderland, mom."
"Whatever. Just promise me you won't. I don't want to keep making up stories about how crazy you are when you are actually a sweet girl."
"I'm not crazy, mom. I'm just inhumanely awesome."
"Well, let's put it this way. You're special alright," she chuckles.
"Just promise me you won't go into some crazy world just to pass time."
"Fine" I lie.
