Meet Alex & Steve

Steve - Introduced in the very early version of Minecraft in December 2010, Steve was the only default skin for almost four years. Named by Minecraft's creator Notch, it's often written as "Steve?" because Notch wasn't sure if that was his official name! Steve has blue eyes and brown hair and wears a light blue T-shirt, blue jeans, and gray shoes. The original version had a brown goatee beard! Steve has appeared as a playable character in Super Meat Boy and Retro City Rampage. He's also a micromob in various LEGO Minecraft sets.

Alex - Alex was added to Minecraft in August 2014. She isn't in all versions, but you can currently choose her on PC and console editions. She has green eyes and ginger hair in a ponytail. She wears a green tunic with a belt, brown leggings, and gray boots. Her character model has thinner arms than Steve, but this is the only two difference between the two. Alex hasn't appeared in other games yet, but he micromob will be included in two Minecraft LEGO sets - The Desert Outpost and The Nether Fortress.
