"Emma and Eliza wake up I'm sorry Emma and Bolin wake up" Linda Youngblood a single mother of twins who was downstairs making some food for the twins. "Mother we are up and getting dressed" I Bolin Youngblood a transgender boy, I got dressed in a blue button down and black pants when my sister Emma got dressed in a blue dress. We went downstairs. "Aww you two look so nice, let's take a photo" mom said as she took out her phone and took a photo. We had been doing a photo on every first day of school starting in 1st grade all the way to this year freshman year of high school. We are going Hollywood Debate High School. We do duo interp. Duo interp is a when two people act out a play or movie with no props and they have to do multiple people. We been doing from the start of 5 grade we loved it. "Bolin our buss is going to be there in like 8 mins or so we got to go." Emma said who was my twin we are identical twins, we are also 16 almost 17 "Ok let's go.' I responded. I grabbed my backpack and my skateboard. We got to the bus stop just in time. The bus just got there. It was almost full. We enter the bus and the bus driver who looked about 45 years old white guy "Names?" "Um I am Emma Youngblood and this is my twin Elizabeth Youngblood. " Emma said "Ok my name is Mr. Earle I'm your bus driver for the year take your seats" we took our seats in the back. We were the last stop before school. We got to school; there was a big billboard that said homerooms. We looked at ours and it was together room 910, we walked the halls looking for that room. We found it after a minute looking for it. We walked in and found our names and sat down. When the last bell rang the teacher walked in "Hello I'm your homeroom teacher my name is Mr. Odom this is acting101 that means you all are in interp. This room is for duo interp. There should be about 20 people in the room. We are going to take roll down. Normally we star with the A's but I do it from bottom up. Now ever one if there a different name you like to go to tell me and I'll write it down. Oh it looks like we have some twins. Emma and Elizabeth Youngblood" "Hi we are both here but I don't use the name Elizabeth I use Bolin" I explained "ok hello Bolin and Emma. "He went on the list. When he finished he started talking again "Ok. I am going to tell you stuff about me. First off I use he/him pronouns and that I am transgender that means I was born a girl but now I am a man and if you want to make fun of me remember I have your grade in my hands. So be nice. Now I am going to pass out your school schedule. He passed out everyone's it looked like Emma and I had the same schedule. We both were in AP core classes the rest of the class he made us practice the interp that we audition with and present them tomorrow. The bell rang and it was time for AP math we get to the class and it was filled with people in suits and really fancy dresses. "Hello are you two lost?" the teacher asked "no this is AP math with Ms. Conner? We are the Youngblood twins" I said "AP classes are for 12 graders, you two look like freshman" "well we are freshman. We tested in the top 1% in our school last year." I explained "Well just take your seats" Ms Conner said. The rest of the AP classes went like that. In 3rd hour we got a dress code packet. We have to wear profentinal clothing starting Wednesday. Our lunch was after AP biology we ate together in the cafeteria. The only AP class that didn't give us a hard time was AP writing with Mr. Write that hour all we did was write which was fun. 6th hour class came up my worst class. It gym class. We get to class and the coach is yelling "My name is Mrs. Williams and girls go to the right and boys go to the left" over and over. Emma went to the right. I sat down in the middle with this other kid. Mrs. Williams came over to us and asked "why are you two here?" The other kid started to talk before I could talk "My name is Sky McLord, and I am non-binary. That means I'm not a boy or a girl. So I sat down in the middle." Mrs. William looked at her roster and looked at us "there no Sky McLord, there a Mikayla McLord. Is that you? And you what's your name?" she pointed at me. "My name is Bolin Youngblood and I am non-binary too." Mrs. William was about to talk and she got a phone call. She walked over to her phone and answered it, then walked back over to everyone and yelled "I need Emma and Elizabeth Youngblood and Mikayla McLord to go to the front office" I got to get up, I saw sky get up too. We went to the hall and sky turn to me "so you're non-binary too. That's really cool. I'm getting my name change today, that's why I'm leaving early." "Yeah. My name is Bolin. This is my twin sister Emma. She is really cool." I said. We all walked to the office together. We waved goodbye as we got into our mother car she turn on the car and turn around to us. "So I got some news a week or so again and now it the day. I am glad you both look fancy. We are going to court right now for your name change Bolin and then we have another good news after but I'm going to wait till after to tell you. But it's good." We drove to the court house and parked I got out the car and turn to my mother and asked "wait did our father sign the thing for it?" She reponed "no. but we talk about that later." We walked in and my mom said it was in court room 3 we found it. We walked in and sat down. I heard my name being call from across the room "Bolin!" I turn and it was Sky with his father. They walked over "I can't believe that we both go to the same school both non-binary and both getting our name changes on the same day." He said with a big smile. Before I could responds the judge called me in. I was only allowed to bring in one person so I brought in Emma. the judge was an older looking black lady with curly hair. "Hello one of you must be Elizabeth Youngblood. Please tell me the reason why you want your name to be change from Elizabeth Emily Youngblood to Bolin Alexander Youngblood."Emma sat down and I stood up "Hello. I want to change my name because I am transgender and I wanted a more masculine name." The judge looked up at me "Approved" she yelled. She handed me a piece of paper. We walked outside and showed it to our mom. She gave me a big bear hug and said "ok, now we got this we have an appointment in 30 mins. Let's go" we all ran to the car and we drove to an office building. We got out and followed mom to a door and we went in I sign a lot of paper work. I turn to my mom and asked "why are we here?" she looked at me and said "this is youre doctor for T! you are starting T today. And if we get out in time you both getting your driver licence too" Emma and I looked at each other with the biggest smile. We waited about five minutes and the doctor called us back. We talked for a little and she said I can get the shot today. She went out and got all the stuff. She brought back a big bag full of stuff. She took out a needle and showed me how to do it in my leg. She gave me a 3 month supply for once a week shot and a note for my gender marker to be male. We left the doctor and drove to the driver license place.
