Veronica's POV

Things felt normal. But they would never be. For no matter how much I forgave JD. It would never be enough for me to forget the things that he did to people. I will try to forget. But I won't be able to forget completely.

He wrapped his arms around my shoulders. "Why the sad face?" He said. I couldn't help but not think about his question. All I could figure out is how I could go on. This must be the death of our long lasting love. It's already reached it's expiration date.
I tried to forget. I remembered his words. Freeze your brain. Maybe this time it will help me.

I grab my empty cup as I rushed to the machine and fill it with all this delicious Red slushie stuff. I poke a straw through the hole on the top. I slurp and slurp and I don't stop.

"Well you must be tense then?" He says wrapping his arms around my waist. Tucking his hands into the pockets of my pants.

I turn my head around at I look at his soft eyes. His arms seem kind and welcoming. But he could strangle me anytime.

"Darling?" He pushes me up to the machine and whispers in my ears.
I groan at his attempt to tease me. Of course, like always, it works. Leaving my stomach confused filled with fluttering butterflies.

And then it hits me. No, like actually hits. Like, someone legit just hit me.
I turn around to see Heather Duke. Some new arm candy wrapped around her arm.

This is not good.
