"Hey!" I bellowed. People turned to raise their eyebrows at me as if I were a mad man. I was walking down the high street and crowds of families were walking in between me and the girl, "Hey - you! I've got your bag!"

I couldn't see much of her other than her glossy mahogany hair that she was tossing cutely every few seconds. I was trying to push through the crowds with my shoulders, clutching her leather purse in my hands. She still couldn't hear me. When I was close enough, I extended my arm and gripped her arm tenderly. Startled, she jerked away from me and blinked at me incredulously. Then she noticed that i was holding her bag and half screamed, "Hey, that's mine! Did you steal that -----"

I shook my head, interrupting the beautiful girl, "No! You dropped it when you left the coffee shop. I picked it up and ran after you. I've been shouting for about ten minutes."

She really was gorgeous - in a bad-girl kind of way. Her flawless skin was olive, complimenting her piercing hazel crescent-shaped eyes. Cascading mahogany locks framed her pretty face.

She bit her lip, "For real? Dang, I'm sorry dude," I passed her the bag and she laughed, "I guess I'm an idiot like that. Thankyou."

I snorted, "It's cool." She was maybe two or three years older than me; not a senior, I was sure. But I didn't care. This girl was beautiful, "I'm Jack."

She nodded, "Skitzo. Look, I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but I got to go. You know - work."

I shrugged indignantly, "That's cool." Skitzo was a weird name. Who the heck called their kid, 'Skitzo'? I shrugged off the thought that she'd probably given me a fake name.

With a smirk on her face, she stood on her tip-toes and kissed my cheek gingerly, "Thanks." A burley bloke walking behind me stumbled right into Skitzo as she was walking and she just rolled her pretty eyes.

"Hey - you!" I roared at the man, grabbing at his arm. He was almost my height, but he was wide and the stench of tobacco had stained his cheap leather jacket, "You just walked into that gal' over there!"

The bloke just chortled, glancing around him with a shrug, "I don't see nobody. Kid, you're crazy."

Surely enough, I glanced around and noticed that Skitzo was gone. She'd vanished into the crowd.
