I walked over to Serena along the others and stood next to Vasquez. I congratulated her and Murphy on their new baby. Serena looked so happy with that baby in her arms. Murphy looked happy as well.
Serena wiped down the baby and looked up at Murphy.
"Congratulations, Daddy." She said with a big smile.
"You did good, Mommy." Murphy replied, a big smile as well on his face.
I couldn't help but smile too. Seeing a baby made me want one even more, even if I told 10K I didn't want one. I really wanted one. And I wanted his.
"What is it?" Doc asked.
"It's a girl." Murphy replied.
"Oh, of course." Doc chuckled.
"Uh, Doc. What is the cleaver for?" Warren asked.
Doc stuttered at first, but answered; "Umbilical cord."
The baby made a growling noise. I looked over Vasquez's shoulder and saw the baby biting the umbilical cord in half to detach herself from her mother.
"Whoa! I guess she's got that covered." Doc chuckled nervously.
Murphy laughed. "That's my girl."
It was silent for awhile, other than Serena and Murphy giggling, before Murphy asked if he could hold his daughter.
Serena handed Murphy the baby. Murphy giggled and tickled the baby's chin.
"Look. Ten fingers. Ten toes." Murphy giggled. He looked and sounded extremely happy.
We all smiled and laughed along before Warren started to get a worried expression.
Loud growling sounded behind us. A couple dozen zombies crawled their way through the barn and limped over to us.
"10K!" I shouted, tapping Warren's shoulder.
"Cover them!" She told Vasquez and I.
Vasquez led the way to 10K and Addy. I looked up and saw a giant crowd of zombies swarming around Murphy.
I thought that was the end it of, but Serena's blood curdling scream filled the air.
"Get away from my baby you damn dirty zombies!" Serena screamed, tackling a zombie.
She screamed and threw zombies to the ground. She looked around and spotted Murphy.
"Go! Go!" She screamed.
"Come on, let's go! Come on! Everybody to the truck!" Warren yelled.
Vasquez grabbed Addy and I grabbed 10K and we ran out of the barn to the truck. We laid 10K and Addy down and went to run back to the barn to help the others, when a gunshot filled the air.
The others ran out. Vasquez and I hopped in the back and the rest got in the truck. We sped off.

We stopped along the way. We parked to the side of a road to let Murphy out. Addy was awake, but 10K was still passed out. I sat next to him and held his hand.
"There's a lot of miles to cover before dark. We should get going." Vasquez said.
"I'll go get Murphy." Warren said, walking off.
Addy touched 10K's shoulder.
His eyes fluttered open.
"Hey, kid." Doc said.
"There he is." Vasquez said.
"Hey there." I whispered in his ear. He turned his head to me and smiled.
He looked around after that. "Where's- Did she have the baby?"
"Yeah. Murphy's having a moment with her." Doc explained.
10K looked at me again. It was all he did. Just stared at me. I started to blush.
"Sure likes to stare." Vasquez said.
"It's because he hasn't seen her in a few hours." Addy joked.
I didn't care what they say. I stared right back at 10K. We never blinked or looked away.
"Speaking of babies." Addy said, making 10K look away. "Present for you."
"Billy Boy Brand condoms?" 10K asked. "We already have a box."
I chuckled and leaned in. "You left it back at our old camp."
"Let's not be stupid, okay?" Addy said.
"Yeah. Like that guy." Vasquez said, nodding his head towards Murphy. "I mean how did that happen anyway?"
"Oh, man. You gotta understand." Doc explained. "There was pie."
Doc and Vasquez exchanged looks and nodded. Addy sighed while 10K and I held back our laughter.
Warren and Murphy came back after that. Murphy looked like he had been crying.
"Everyone," He said. "Meet Lucy."
