The Assignment (Carlos x Jane)

The voyage (chapter 2)

Once everyone was done packing they all went to the edge of the island, which was all too familiar to Mal and Ben. Since there were four more people this time to go to the isle, they took a bus. The villains knew they would have to teach the Auradon kids how to survive on the isle of the lost

Each pair got a seat on the bus to the point where it was almost full. "you have a seatbelt, Jane?" Carlos asked in concern. "I can't seem to find it!" Jane said with worry. "here let's switch seats" Carlos offered his seatbelt to Jane.

Jane was hesitant but accepted the offer, mostly because she was concerned for Carlos and his safety. Soon after they switched seats the bus took off on the golden path over the glimmering ocean, as soon as they crossed the barrier on the glimmering golden path something happened.

The golden bridge started disappearing in the middle of the ocean.

everyone started panicking and held onto each other as the bus plummeted into the ocean. They knew from this high the water pressure would surely kill them, Yet they all still held onto each other. Ben and Mal both said they loved each other before everyone began to feel their life flashing before their eyes. A few moments later the bus crashed into the water, they all felt it smash into smithereens.

As water flooded the bus Jane fell unconscious due to lack of air for an extended amount of time. (don't ask about the psychics of this) Carlos ended up having to swim out of the flooding bus with Jane in his arms, while the others tried to swim to the nearby beach. Ben had to give Mal a piggyback ride in the water since she couldn't swim. Suddenly Carlos felt a slight tug on his leg, which turned into a pull. He yelled for help as he and Jane were pulled under, into the vast ocean.
