The Alpha's Triplets

Chapter 4

Jesse's POV

Looking at my cell phone, it's almost 11:55 just 5 more minutes to go. Once we officially turn 15 , we'll undergo the change. Our first change will be the most painful. It makes sense as to why it would be the most painful, our body isn't use to the bones moving and shifting under our skin. After the change, we obtain our full alpha powers.

Alpha powers are different for everyone, some can control people without speaking, some can read all minds, some become monsters..... To be an alpha, you have to be strong, the moon goddess designed it to be a hard task. She knew for a pack you need a strong leader, physically and emotionally. As 11:55 gets closer I feel the impulse to look at the moon, the moon will be my guide through this change. I couldn't ask for a more beautiful thing to see through my new wolf eyes. My watch goes off signaling 11:55, but my body has already started shifting.

Lilian's POV

As I stare up at the moon my bones slowly start to move under my skin. I'm not going to lie, it hurts, but nothing compared to the hurt I've experienced before. All the cuts I've caused on my body to stop the hurt on the inside, this is a walk in the park. As my body impulsively starts shaking the moon changes right before my eyes. Instead of a far away light in the sky, I start to notice all the small indents in the moon, the light goes from a pale white to a vibrant gold/silver combination. It's absolutely breath taking.

Without warning, hair starts sprouting from my arms , as my body naturally goes onto all fours. Still maintaining contact with the moon, I allow myself to let the feeling of my bones moving make my mind blank. That's one thing no one seems to understand about cutting, I don't do it because I want to die, it makes my emotional pain go blank. Without it, I would have killed myself years ago. As I feel my shoulders connect with another, I raise my newly formed head to the sky and let out a loud howl.

I felt a connection to the moon, one that I've never felt before. As I look up at the sky, I can feel something else. It's not my wolf, but its my brothers' wolves. I can feel their emotions, with an odd compulsion I lean forward and touch Austin's arm. It's as if I have the ability to take his pain away, and I think that's exactly what just happened. Both of my brothers eyes swing onto me and as I look up at the sky, there is the moon goddess herself looking back at me. Before she disappears she winks at me, and in that moment I realize that I did take his pain away, I was blessed with a special gift from the our goddess .

Austin's POV

All three of us saw the moon goddess wink at Lilian. She was blessed with a special gift, one I've heard to be the rarest of them all. She can take pain away, but she can also know all the emotions a person is having and make them disappear. There was only one other wolf that has been known to have it, and she was the most powerful wolf of her time.

Looking at my siblings, we all raise our heads in unison, we howl at the moon and as we connect with our wolves we connect more with each other. It's the most incredible feeling in the world. As a family we run together for the first time. Jesse's black wolf leading my and Lilian's grey wolves. Running, playing, connecting as a family like we once were before all the bad things happened to us. We don't worry about the weight on our shoulders. We're finally acting like kids, carefree and innocent.

We finally decide to head back to the house, but we can tell there is something is different. Walking up the steps we open the doors fast, like ripping off a band-aid. As we walk up the steps to our father's office, the biggest surprise we ever would have expected is there.

Our mom is standing there, hugging our father.....
