“ Mai, are you alright?” Kagome asked looking back at you “ Huh? Yeah” you told her looking at Miroku from the corner your eye “ Inuyasha let’s rest for the night” Kagome said sitting on a log “ WHAT! I swear with you guys resting all the time we’ll never get Naraku” he said “ Oh, shut up, look what I have” she said as she pulled out a bowl of “ RAMNE!!” Inuyasha said as he took a seat beside her. After everyone ate and everything you got up “ Where are you going?” Inuyasha asked you “ Just for a walk, I’ll be back shortly” you said walking away after a while you heard water running “ Must be a waterfall nearby” you told yourself as you followed the sound when you got there you saw a really pretty waterfall but what caught your eyes was something or someone was sitting on the edge of the river “ Hey Koga” you said as you walked up to him “ Hey Mai what’s wrong?” he asked you as you took a seat beside him “ -Sigh- Nothing really” you told him looking at the moon “ Then why do you look so sad, wait is this about that Monk again?” he asked you looking at you “ Yeah” you said looking at him, It’s strange that you and him became as close as you two were after he saved you and kagome from the birds of Paradise a while back, “ Ya’know you should tell him your feelings” Koga told you “ I know, but I don’t want to hurt Sango” you told him “Besides I doubt that he even likes me the same way” you said as you looked at the water “ MAI!!” you heard a voice call for you coming from the woods “ Talk to him, Mai” Koga said as he took off. Just then Sango walked out of the woods behind you “There you are, who was you talking to?” she asked you walking up to you “ Oh, Koga was here a few minutes ago” you told her looking at the water “ Oh, can I asked you something?” she asked you “ Sure what is it?” you said/asked her. “ DO you like Miroku?” Sango asked you “ What? Of course I mean his a nice guy, a pervert but nice” you told her which made her laugh “ Not like that Mai, I mean are you in love with him?” she said looking at you “ What? N…” you started but again Sango cut you off “ Don’t lie, I’ve known for a while that you love him” she said looking at the moon “ You should really talk to him Mai” she told you which shocked you “ Why? I thought you love him?” you asked her “ I do. But I’ve seen the way his eyes look when he looks at you, he never looked at me like that” Sango said looking at the water “ Sango” you said “ Mai, don’t worry about me” she told you “ Anyway lets get back the others might be worried” she said standing up offing you her hand. Once you was back at the campsite Inuyasha and Miroku was the only two still up “ Miroku?” you said walking over to him, he looked up at you “ Can I talk to you. Alone?” you asked him looking over at Inuyasha “ Sure, come on” he said standing up and walking into the woods with you behind him. The both of you walked for a while but you stopped when you got into a clearing Miroku?” you said his name kind of low, he turned to face you and you got lost in his deep dark blue eyes “ Mai” he said, and you felt his breath on your face which made you jump back at how close he was to you, and made him give you that smirk you’ve always loved, he stepped closer until his lips hit yours and without a second thought you started to kiss him back. After a while he broke away in need of air “ I love you Miroku” you told him looking into his eyes once more “ I love you too Mai” he said as he leaned in a gave you another kiss this one longer and passionate. “ Promise me something” you said looking at him “Anything” he told you pulling you into a hug “ Stopping flirting with other girls” you told him, he pulled away just enough so he could look into you eyes “ Of course, besides I have the only girl I want” Miroku told you giving you a hug under the silver moonlight.
