You and Sans were both talking when Sans asked a weird question.

"Did you have a best friend when you were younger?" Sans asked.

"Yeah. I forgot his name though. I haven't seen him in 5 years. Why?" You asked.

"Well I so happened to know him." Sans said.

"You do?!" You asked.

Sans nodded and turned you around.

"Okay... So, I have something that may or may not help you remember." He said.

"Okay." You said.

"Turn around." Sans said.

Your turned around and gasped at what he had in his hand. It was a photo of you and him on your birthday. Sans was your best friend. Still is.

"S-Sans... I...I'm so sorry..." You said as a single tear rolled down your cheek.

"It's okay, (N/N)." Sans said, smiling.

You hugged him tightly, him returning the gesture with equal strength.

"I missed you, Sans. When I moved away, it felt like my heart broke in half..." You said, voice trailing off.

Sans rubbed your back as you continued.

"I-I couldn't take it. I wouldn't eat, starving myself... After a few years, my memories of you had disappeared..." You said, taking deep breaths still crying.

Sans sighed and continued rubbing your back. A lot had happened since you'd seen each other so, Sans understood.

"M-My mom forced me to go get a pokemon. I tried so hard to remember your name, but..." You burst into tears, burying your neck into Sans' shoulder blade.

Sans started crying as well. All of this happened, because your mom wanted you to full-fill her dream that she never accomplished. It was unfair. Then again, was anything fair?

"I-It's okay now, though. *sniff* Because, we found each other..." Sans said, voice cracking.

When you had left, the mere mention of your name had brought him to tears. You had taken so much from him. So much hatred and pain that he learned how to not hate himself. Out of fear he had locked himself into his room. For 2 years he tried convincing his dad to let him to go Kalos, to see you again. It came to the point where he didn't want to eat. His SOUL was losing hope. Without you, his SOUL couldn't sustain for long. So his dad let him go. It took 3 years to find you, but it was worth it.

"Y-Yeah." You said.

You let go of the hug and sat down.

"Might as well set camp here. It's getting dark and Lumiose city is still pretty far." You said.

Sans nodded and set his bag down. You took off your bag and pressed a button. There was a table, 2 tents, and a lighter. Don't forget the silverware, plates, and cups.

"Woah." Sans said.

You laughed.

"My mom said that I couldn't go anywhere without this stuff, so my dad built this." You giggled.

You took out all the poke-puffs, which woke up Deddene and Pikachu. They both rushed to me and jumped on my shoulders.

"They sure like poke-puffs, huh?" Sans asked.

"Yup. Me included." You said, taking a bite of a poke-puff.

"Wait what?! Are you sure-?" Sans started.
