As a middle schooler my friends and I were fascinated in this idea that everything we do factors into our future. We all wanted to go far so to us that meant sport captains, club presidents and straight A students. Now I wish it was that easy. I was all three of those things; the varsity field hockey captain, the student council club presidents and the second in my class. I didn't spend much time with my family because of this. I don't think they cared much about it, they always favored my brother. It didn't bother me before I was too busy keeping up with the never ending amount of work. It came easy to my brother but I had to work 100x harder than he did.
