Humans and Objects

I learned you could give objects human treats (when writing something).

"The robot ran across the room; wobbling from side to side."
or
"As the ball stopped in its tracks -even for a moment- it hit the kid square in the face."

And so I thought about giving humans objects treats.

"As I lay on his chest I could hear his heart click like a grandfather clock. My breath was like a heater compared to his cold iron skin."

I'm pretty sure that I could totally use that. But. . . it kinda sounds like I'm in love with someone whose made out of iron and has a clock for a heart. . .

So yeah.
