Sabrina's POV
I never thought I had the courage to do that. Truthfully, I'm not sure if he would even like it. This is not the time to overthink things... I got class.
Corey's POV
I make my way to class wearing a grin on my face. But that grin didn't last for long when Lucy appeared. "Hi Corey! Cool bracelets, where'd you get it?" I roll my eyes, "None of your business." I continue walking. She chases after me and does one of those seductive growls, "Oooh that was hot." I try to ignore her but she continues nagging on and on about how I didn't hang out with her after school yesterday. I face her, fed up with her shit and look her in the eyes, "Lucy, we were never together, ok?" I leave her alone thinking maybe she'll get the memo but I was wrong, "Fine, well I never want to talk to you ever again. And I changed my phone number, if you're wondering it's 555-555-0124... don't call me on 555-555-0124. I don't expect a call or text on 555-555-0124."
I couldn't help but laugh, that was the second time she's done that. I walk into Biology and there was an empty seat next to Sabrina. I thought maybe Rowan would sit next to her but she ended up next to Peyton, so I didn't hesitate. I sit down next to her, she glances at my hand noticing that I was wearing them. I quietly thank her, "Thank you... you didn't have to but thank you." She responds with a smile, her smile was cute enough to make me go crazy but I'm a chill guy so I'm pretty chill, I think?
Majority of the time in class I've been only gazing at her. She doesn't seem to notice which is good because I don't want to be labelled as a creep. Her hair was beautiful and golden and her lashes were long. They fluttered everytime she blinks, I needed to stop looking at her but I can't. For some reason she draws me towards her, normally I draw girls towards me but I think maybe, in a long time, I think I might have caught feelings.
Class ended, I want to her talk to get to know her better but I was too late, Rowan already beat me. I watch both girls walk out of the classroom. Peyton comes up to me and punches me lightly on the shoulder, "Tough life huh." I couldn't agree anymore.
Sabrina's POV
Rowan drags me to the girls bathroom, "We have some unfinished business." "We do?" She rolls her eyes and sways her hips. "Duh about Corey." "Oh... right go on." She sits on the sink and makes herself comfortable. "Well... like I said his old habits. Having a one time thing with girls here and there. But when we were 13, before he came this popular womaniser he was a genuine guy. Caring, smart, easygoing... He was in love." "In love?" "Yes, in love. Her name was Rose. She was once my best friend and she was beautiful. They confessed their love on Valentines day and dated for awhile, but sadly it didn't last. She moved to Atlanta and he was heart broken. He didn't want to eat, talk or even come to school. So it's kinda my fault." I look at her with confusion, "Your fault?" "Yeah in what he has become today... you see me and Peyton were worried so we brought girls over to help him forget about her and then he became what he is today."
Corey was once in love? He must really love her... I wonder what's it like to be in love. Rowan snaps her fingers in front of my face, "Girl you there?" I blink my eyes, "Yeah I'm here." "Sab... have you ever been in love?" I hesitate, "In love? Of course, many times..." She places her hands on her hips and looks at me dead in the eyes. "Fine... never in my life." "No get outta here! You haven't? Oh my gosh girl." "So what? I'm not in a hurry." She places her hands ony shoulders and gives them a little squeeze, "You're so innocent."
Innocent... huh.
Corey's POV
"Dude why are we waiting outside the girls bathroom?" I question Peyton. "Just shut up and wait." Before I could continue Rowan and Sabrina stepped out in view. Oh so that's who we were waiting for. Rowan kisses Peyton on the lips and held hands. Me and Sabrina awkwardly stood about a metre apart. She didn't look at me though not that I expect her to but she didn't make eye contact ever since Biology. She swiftly move towards Rowan, "Um I'm going to catch up with you guys at Lunch." And with that she was on the move. Who knows where.
Sabrina's POV
I didn't want to look at him after hearing his heartbreak.
Love. Love is a very strong word, falling in love seems so hard. Finding the right one to share your heart with seems impossibe... oh well.I make my way to the music studio. Making sure no one was inside I sat down on the seat of the piano and turned on the microphone.
*clap, clap, clap*
I quickly stood up and turned around, before me a tall, slim, black-haired woman stood with a smile on her face. "An original?" I nod. "It was very beautiful, are you in the music program." I shake my head no. "Oh that's a shame, pardon me, I'm Miss Carson the music teacher." "Sabrina." I held out my hand for her to shake it.
"You're really not in the music program?" "Um yeah, I just arrived at the school yesterday..." She dusts her skirt, "Oh how rude of me, welcome to the school. If you're interested you should join the program." I sadly decline, "I'm sorry... I wish I could but I'm not here permanently." "Oh where you're from?" "New York." Before we could further our conversation the bell rang for the next period. I thanked Miss Carson and left the studio.
I look at the music program sign up sheet in my hand and scrunch it up in a ball. Tossing it in the bin, ouch there goes my opportunity.
