The Bad Boy Wants Me

Chapter 9

Long day for sure. I'm only in my 4th period: AP Physics, and and 40 more minutes till lunch. Ugh this class is so long.

I huff and open my notebook, ready to write down some notes. The door to the class opens and in walks in James. My eyes widen, he does not have this class with me. 

"How can I help you James?" Ms.H turns to James who's standing in front of the class, smirking at all the googly-eyed girls. He has a white t-shirt, a leather jacket, jeans, and nike shoes to tie off his outfit. 

"I got transferred to this class..." He turns to my teacher and passes her a note.

She nods her head and turns back to the board. 

" Go take a seat then."

James searches the room until his eyes fall upon me. He begins making his way over to me and I can't help but roll my eyes, huff, and lay my head on the desk. I feel his presence beside me, I hear the scraping of a chair against the floor and him next to me. I can suddenly feel everyone's eyes on me. Great.

"Hey sunshine, we have the same class now, isn't that great?" 

I lift my head, my eyes burn a hole into his brain, at least I hope they are. " You just can't get enough of me can't you?" I smirk and sit up straight. "You just keep on proving how much of a creep you are."

He laughs, I roll my eyes disguising the way his laugh makes my smile stretch on my face.  Leaning in, he turns his head slightly towards my ear. " You're right sunshine, I just can't get enough of you."

I shiver, I stretch out my arms to put as much distance between us as I can. "Stay far away from me, you creep."

Turning away from him, I focused on the notes. I made a slight glance at the clock, the time definitely is going slow today.  I jot some notes down and glance at the clock again. My legs start shaking and at this point i'm impatient. I just want to eat. My eyes flicker to the clock again.

" What are you so impatient about? Why are you glancing at the clock so much? Does my presence bother you, Sunshine?" He sets his arm on the table, turns towards me while resting his head on his hand. 

" Your presence annoys me, and I'm impatient and glancing at the clock because I'm hungry and am waiting for lunch." 

" My presence does not annoy you." He huffs and rolls his eyes." In fact, I believe my presence makes you want to jump my bones." 

I turn my head towards him and a roaring laugh comes out of me. " You think I wanna jump your bones? That's funny. I like that joke." 

"It wasn't a-" 

" Tiana and James, is my class not entertaining enough for you? Would you like to share with the class your conversation?" Ms.H faces us, puts a hand on her hip and puts a foot forwards.

"No, I'm sorry." I glare at James and turn back towards the front. She nods and turns back to the board. The last minutes of class consists of James annoying me, while I choose to ignore him.

Saved by the bell. I shove everything into my book bag and rush out the door, hoping to get as far away from him as possible. I hear him calling my name, and that makes me go faster. I swear flash can't compare to me.

I reach the cafeteria, run to the line with less people and bend down to catch my breath. I've never run so fast in my life. I look behind me and notice James is no where to be found. Smiling I get to the front of the line, I grab a tray with a hot dog and a muffin. I turn to grab a Gatorade and put in my lunch number. 

I grab my tray with one hand, and my Gatorade with the other and head outside. I reach my table, my friends already seated and eating.

"Guys, James was following me, and I'm extremely happy to say that I outran him." I laugh and open my Gatorade, ready to drink.

"Um, you sure you outran him? Because he's heading this way right now." I pause midair, and turn around.

Speaking of the devil, he's crossing the school path way that leads to the field, on our way to our table. His eyes land on mine, and a smirk appears on his face. I huff and roll my eyes, while turning away. Does he not know how to take a hint?

I feel him drop in the seat next to mine, legs facing outwards, back against the table and arms stretched out. "Hey sunshine, I'm gonna sit with you from now on."

He turns to his head towards my friends and waves. Their eyes widen and wave back. I roll my eyes and start eating my hot dog.

I mumble, "I don't want you here." I take a quick drink of my Gatorade and take a glance at him.

I can help but laugh at his face. He's looking at me with fake solemn eyes, and with his lips rolled out into a pout.

"I want to be here beside you sunshine." He scoots closer, pushes my food away and kisses my cheek.  A shock flows through my body, and I suddenly feel hot. He pulls away with a smirk, finishing off with a wink.

I push him away, reach for my food, and point at him. "My food is not to be messed with, and guess what? I don't care." 

I hurry with my food, and take a sip of my drink. I look at Diamond who is staring at me with wide eyes, while Joshy looks at James up and down and nods. 

"Guys, stop" I roll my eyes, as that catches their attention and they relax. I finish my drink, and before I can get up and throw it away, it disappears from my hand. I turn to look at where it went and see James throwing it away himself.

"Thanks, you didn't have to." 

"I wanted to"

The bell rings, signaling lunch has ended. Getting up, I grab my bag and walk to my class but not before saying bye to everyone.

After lunch I made my way to music class, where I finally wrote down the song I wanted to sing. Music class and another class later, I was in my 2 free periods. About to head home, I feel a hand grab mine, and suddenly i'm being pulled. I look towards and see James. Of course.

"What are you doing?" We reach outside, we pass my car and head towards his bike.

"I'm taking you somewhere."

"Wait, my car." I look back towards it, and turn back towards James, who's on his bike.

"Don't worry, we'll get it tomorrow" I huff and get on the bike, putting on a helmet.

"Where are we going anyway?" I wrap my arms around his waist, and turn my head slightly to the side to look at him.He looks back at me, a smirk appears on his face and he winks. 

"You'll see."
