Chapter 22

Hayden's POV
Our flight just landed so I pick Annie up and grab our backpacks and leave the plane. I get out of the airport and meet my brother Dylan at his. Car, we drive home to my house and I take Annie upstairs to my room. I lay her down and get on my phone.
A few minutes later I hear crying coming from behind me, I look back to find Annie crying.
H- Annie what's wrong are you okay
A- my stomach hurts so bad
H- I'm sorry Annie
I lay down next to her and she burries her face in my chest. She cries until she drifts off to sleep.
About an hour later the doorbell rings, I go to answer it, it's Mackenzie
H- what do u want
M- where's Annie
H- Maryland
M- well let me know when she gets back so I can punch her
H- ok I will
M- bye
H- whatever
Annie's POV
I wake up to hear voices downstairs, I go downstairs and peek around the corner , Kenzie is asking about me.... I really hope Hayden doesn't blow my cover, thankfully he doesn't and Kenzie leaves. I'm about to walk over to Hayden when a sharp pain shoots through my stomach... I scream and collapse and everything goes black.
Hayden's POV
I close the door and let out a sigh of relief... that was close. I'm about to go back up stairs to check on Annie when I hear a scream and a thud. I run around the corner and see her laying on the floor. I pick her up and put her on the couch... cover her with a blanket and go to get pain killer for when she wakes up.
Annie's POV (in a dream)
I'm walking down the street when all of a sudden I turn the corner and Hayden and Mackenzie are standing there with a bloody knife. I look down to their feet and see Hayley... dead. I open my mouth in surprise.
H- hahah
M- first Caleb
H- then Hayley
Both- now you
I scream as I open my eyes and realize I'm on Hayden's couch.
Hayden's POV
I just heard Annie scream again so I go into the living room to check on her.
H- Annie are you okay
A- n-n-no
H- what happened
A- I had a terrifying dream
H- what was it about
A- you and and Mackenzie killed Hayley and Caleb and were coming after Me
H- Annie I would never do that
A- I know YOU wouldn't
H- but Mackenzie would
A- yeah
I give Annie her painkiller and we go outside for a while and sit on the porch. We just talk and laugh about the good times and then go in for dinner. After dinner we go upstairs, Annie looks at her phone and screams, then I falls to the floor crying... I look at her phone and let out a gasp... I cat believe what it says.
