Cayden's POV

"Wait... you're his son?!" I screamed, falling to the ground next to Rachel as blood gushed out of the wound.

"Yes Cayden. We didn't want to overwhelm you when we recruited you for the court." Sean said, with a smug look on his face as he glanced at Rachel.

"Have you been trying to keep me from finding her so I wouldn't make the same mistake you did?" I said, holding Rachel's hand as her eyes closed slowly.

"The only way to save her is to turn you back. You're the only one who can turn her." Dalton said, glancing at Sean.

"If it's the only way." I said as my voice started to break.

Sean walked over to me and sunk his fangs into my neck. As I let out a piercing scream, Rachel gripped my hand. Once Sean was finished, my skin turned pale once more like it did over 2 years ago. Looking at Dalton as he gave me the okay to turn Rachel, I kissed her cheek gently. Sinking my fangs into her bruised and bloody neck, nightmares start to play through my head. Causing me to get anxious and my mind filled with fearful thoughts. What if she didn't want to be a vampire like us?

"Cayden stop! You're taking too much blood!" Dalton screamed, ripping me away from Rachel's cold, pale body.

Sean picked her up off the stake that was lodged in her stomach and proceeded to bring her inside, carrying her bridal style. Gently setting her on my bed, I sat next to her and played with her hair as I slowly fell asleep.

Rachel's POV

Memories of Cayden and I rushed through my mind. Finally it stopped at Mikey's party in 7th grade. Someone spun the bottle, and it landed on Cayden and I. We leaned in slowly, our faces red with embarrassment. Our lips met and they interlocked for a few seconds while our friends all cheered and clapped around us. Pulling away slightly, Cayden had the biggest smile on his face.

"Rachel please..." Cayden said faintly.

My eyes opened slightly to see Cayden next to me.

"Cayden... what happened?" I whispered, setting my hands on my stomach. I could feel something wet and sticky, as I lifted my hands up all I saw was red.

"Rachel you're awake!" He screamed, hugging me tightly.

"I remember everything.. you changed me Cayden." I trailed off as Sean and Dalton entered the room.
