Chapter 1 - Bumped

Mikaela's P.O.V

Walkin' through a crowd, the village is a glow
Kaleidoscope of a loud, hide beats under—

Ouch! My earphones.

"I'm sorry, miss." A guy who was wearing a black coat, black pants, bumped into me. Omg, he looks so stunning and hot.

"A-ah, it's f-fine! N-no worries." Of course it's fine. My cheeks started turning into a light shade of pink, I hope this isn't obvious...

"I'll be going now. I apologize for what happened again, miss." He walked away with a smile on his face to go to his way to work.

Wait.

Isn't that Jumin-? The one who works with me? God!

I didn't recognize him. Probably, I was nervous? Haha, no. Why would I be?

I should just go to work and forget what happened, it isn't something big, it's just Jumin. It's not much of a big deal.

After a few minutes of walking, I finally arrived at work, I think I should apologize to Jumin as well, my earphones made me lost track of where I'm going.

"Mr. Jumin Han!" I called on him to catch his attention, I walked a few steps close to him so that I can apologize to him sincerely and clearly. "I apologize for what happened today," I bowed, "I'm sorry for not focusing on where I was going, I hope it's fine for you." I stood up straight once again and wore a soft smile on my face while I was blushing, I accidentally dropped the papers that I were holding because my hands were shaking, I was somehow nervous.

A soft giggle escaped his mouth, he smiled back to me, which made my cheeks red. "It's fine, don't worry about it. It's not much of a big deal, really. Don't think about it anymore." He replied while he was helping me pick up the papers I was holding. "I should be going. I have a meeting to attend to, I hope you'll have a nice day, Mikaela."

I suddenly felt my heart skipped a bit. Wait, what's happening? Why did this suddenly happened?!

"Mikaela!" Luciel called my name, which surprised me because I was lost in my thoughts. "Yo. Why are you suddenly standing frozen in the middle of the lobby?" He pat on my shoulder and let out a soft giggle.

"O-oh well, nothing, I just thought of something, well, I gotta go to my workplace now! I gotta go." I ran to the elevator, because in a few minutes, I'll be late.

Ah finally! I'm here.

I placed my bag under my table, I made a few stretches, turned on my computer and started working.

This day didn't got a fresh start, hopefully I'll he fine for the whole day.

"Mikaela." Before I typed the first word I was supposed to type, someone called on my name once again. Sigh. Oh wait, it's Jumin.

"Hey. Is there anything you need?" I asked in a very polite way, I didn't want to have a bad impression.

"Oh, do you mind if you'll be my assistant for a few weeks? Assistant Kang won't be able to be here for a while, family problems and that, she told me." ASSISTANT?! A-are you freaking serious, Mr. Jumin Han?! I felt my heart skip a beat once again, calm down, missy, he just requested you to be his assistant for a few weeks, that wouldn't be hard, right? "Mikaela?" He whispered my name to get my attention once more.

"Y-yes, Mr. Jumin?" My voice stuttered, should I say yes? I think this is an once in a lifetime opportunity, I know Jumin Han is a good boss. I should do this. "I'll do it."

"Hey, if you don't want to do it, it's all fine, no forcing here." A smile formed on his lips, saying that it'll be fine. "But if you want to do it, it'll be great, you're the chosen one in any way." He chuckled and made a serious face again. "If you're willing to do it, meet me at my office, I'll just prepare some papers, alright?"

I nodded and waited for him to leave so that I'll continue to work without being rude or what.

After I decided completely in a few hours, I got to Jumin Han's office to talk about it with him. I fixed my long sleeved button-down shirt, and my tight skirt, fixed my lipstick and head inside Mr. Jumin's office. I knocked lightly on his door and entered the room. "Mr. Jumin Han?"

"Ah, Mikaela, come in. Welcome." A warm welcome was given to me by his soft words. I walked closer to his table and took a deep breath while I was walking. This will be all fine. "You've decided?"

"Yes, I have, Mr. Jumin Han." I replied respectfully, I felt that I'm trusted by him, probably it's why he chose me as his assistant for a while.

"Great. You can go back to your office now. You'll be my assistant starting tomorrow, okay?" A soft smile formed on his lips once again.

"I'll be off now, Mr. Jumin Han. I hope you'll have a great evening." I smiled at him and politely left his office. I got to my workplace, turned off my computer, took my bag and left the building with my heart racing, cheeks blushing and body shaking. "Tomorrow will be a very new day." I whispered to myself and got home safely.

Whoop.

*Mr. Jumin Han sent you a text message.

Mr. Jumin? Already?

Jumin: I hope you arrived home safely, I'll see you tomorrow at work. Apologies that I didn't got the chance to bring you home.

I should go rest and eat dinner, today was a great day. I had a lot of fun. Tomorrow will be a new great day!
