KATNISS POV

I hugged the baby to my chest.

“Shh, Cinna. It’s alright. You’re gonna meet your big sister, Rosey. C’mon, Cinna, stop crying.” I said, gently rocking the baby.

Peeta looked at me, his hand on the doorknob.

“Ready to bring Cinna into his new home?” He asked.

I nodded.

Peeta opened the door.

Rosey ran out, excited. “Mommy!” She squealed.

“Woah, girl.” Peeta caught her before she crashed into me and the baby.

“Daddy!” The five-year-old squealed.

“Hey, big sister. Why don’t we go inside, and you can meet the new family member.”

Rosey dashed back inside.

Peeta held my hand as we went in.

Effie sat on the couch, her hand on her bulging stomach.

“Hey Effie.” Peeta said, as he sat on the couch.

“Oh, Katniss, let’s see the baby then, shall we?” Effie asked, breathlessly.

“Alright. As soon as Rosey sits down.” I agreed, for Rosey was zipping around the room.

She heard me, then plopped down next to Peeta.

“Here’s the baby.” I said, the placed Cinna in Peeta’s arm, so Rosey could see.

After much cooing over the baby, I pulled Effie aside.

“And how is your little child?” I asked her.

Effie put a hand on her stomach. “Fine, I think. Oh! Kicking! She’s kicking.”

“She?!” I asked. “When did you find out?”

“Just before I came here to babysit Rosey while you were at the hospital.”

“Peeta!” I called.

He looked up.

“It’s a girl!” I said, pointing at Effie.

“That’s great!” He said.

Effie looked around the room, and saw a painting with a pond and lilies.

“I think I’ll name her Lilly.” She said.

“Sounds great,-” I began, but then Effie fell onto the couch.

“She’s coming!” Effie yelped.
