Yes, two minutes to spare! Not late! I waved Tae bye and sat down at my desk. It was a neat and tidy area, and it was right outside Hoseok's office. I was looking around my desk, placed my laptop in the charger, and noticed a small note on the side.
When you arrive Mina, come into my office. No need for knocking
-Jung Hoseok (just Hoseok)
From the note, he didn't sound bad. He sounded quite nice. It didn't matter though, I was the assistant, he was the boss and I had to be my best. I was a little scared though, I have never seen him before and this is my first job and I wasn't ready to get fired. I breathed in and out, then walked into his office without hesitation.
I stood there waiting for him to look up. It took a while but he did.
"Hello Mina." He got up.
"Uh...hello~"
"Hoseok, just Hoseok." He said. His voice was expressionless. He sounded like he had no soul or something. I guess this is what the guys were talking about.
"Hello Hoseok. I~"
"Here are the list of companies that need to be sent to our Japan company. Get these translated into English and Japanese, then get twenty-five copies of these documents. I need these finished by the end of the day."
Wow, this guy just loves to interrupt people. But, I read that e-mail so, I kept my pose and nodded at almost every word he said.
"Good. At least you understand what I'm saying. While your at this, go ahead and schedule this weeks meeting for next Friday at three-thirty, the meeting where the American and Japanese representatives will be coming. Okay, you may leave." He gave a wave and looked at me with expressionless eyes. I shuddered at those eyes, so cold they were. As I was walking towards the door with a huge stack of documents in hand, he stopped me one more time.
"While your at it, get me a cup of coffee. Today is stressing me. And get yourself a cup of tea, you seem cold." He said, looking down at his papers not even looking at me. Some nerve he's got. I nodded, keeping composure. But, how the hell did he notice my shudders. Guess I was really obvious. I pushed the door with my back, while my boss didn't give a care in the world to open the door for me.
"Can you hurry with the coffee?" He said.
"Yes Hoseok." I said.
I walked out and tripped on my foot and dropped all the documents. GREAT! Why does this always happen to me. I'm such an utter klutz! I ran around grabbing the documents and then bumped into a familiar figure.
"Oh so sorry I didn't see you there~"
"Jimin."
"Yeah, Jimin."
"Need help with this?" He was such a kind gentleman.
"Oh yes please! I still need to get coffee for Hoseok! Ugh, I can't do one thing right!" I groaned.
"Here, I'll gather the paper, you go grab his coffee, and grab yourself some tea, you're going to need it." It's good to see that there are some people that still care.
"Oh my, thank you so much! I owe you" He smiled at me and I began speed-walking, but then stopped.
"Ha, um...hey Jimin, where is the lounge area?" I gave a nervous chuckle. I am utterly embarrassing.
He gave a slight chuckle and smiled. "Go straight, make a left and it'll be on your right-hand side."
I mouthed a 'thank you' and left.
