Truth or dare

You squinted as you looked over at what was supposed to be a window, but instead were met with white cloth. Oh no. Pushing Daniel off of you, you fell back off the bed. "Ow." You muttered, trying your best not to stir the male more than you already had. Peeking over the side of the bed, you blushed. Daniel's usually neat hair was sticking this way and that whilst his tired looking eyes looked down at you. All that could be heard was the silent pitter patter of rain against the small cabin as you stared at each other, "I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean t-to wake you up!" You suddenly said, startling the both of you a bit. You looked down out of embarrassment, only to feel your face heat up even more at the sight of Daniel's shirt bunched up against your thighs. Pulling it down, you quickly stood up. Daniel sat up a bit more as well, curious as to what you were doing, "It's raining cats and dogs out there." You commented looking through the small window on David's door and placing your pale fingers on the now cold glass. You thought back to David, who was probably freaking out in your cabin and smiled. He could be such and idiot sometimes. You jumped back a little, noticing an actual cat falling from the sky and landing in the lake, "What the-?" You asked no one in particular. Daniel stood up and went over to get a look at what was so interesting, but was slightly disapointed when he saw nothing but the rain. Though, he didn't show it. You looked up at him and found yourself unable to look away, his somber expression as he looked out the window whilst he also put his hand on the glass, the way his eyes seemed a bit more dull, but filled with thought, and he slouched a little, straining to see what had spooked you. It was absolutely perfect for a drawing! You quickly tried to memorize everything so you could sketch it down later,  "Hey Daniel," you said, tapping his shoulder, he looked over at you, his eyes going back to their usually huge size, along with his smile, "Umm, i-i was just going to tell you that I'll have your shirt washed by tomorrow." You said, fumbling with the ends of it. Daniel fought back a blush and looked at a wall towards the wall on his left, "Go ahead and keep it. I have plenty." He said. You gasped and looked up at him excitedly, "Really!?" You exclaimed. The shirt was pretty comfy, even if it was a short sleeve. Daniel looked down at you surprised. It was just a shirt, he didn't really get it. His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door, but before either of you could even get ahold of the doorknob you both were knocked over by it, "Hey Daniel I'm sorry for leaving you hanging last night i-!... (y/n)?" It was David. Thank god, you rubbed your forehead in pain and glared up at him, "Yeah." Was all you said as you got up and dusted yourself off, meanwhile Daniel was still kind of out of it and confused on the floor. "Uh, Daniel?" You asked, snapping your fingers a few times. He shook his head and got up too. Okay, that problem had been fixed. You looked back at David, who was shivering in the doorway, "Well don't just stand there!" You said, grabbing his arm and pulling him into the cabin. It was way too cold outside, and the rain was getting on the floor. Shutting the door for him, you looked back at the two and sighed. Daniel was smiling creepily and David was just standing there shivering his ass off, "I'll be in the bathroom, David, get some dry clothes on. Daniel," you pointed at him, but thought for a second, not really sure what to say, "You just, keep doing whatever your doing." You said, awkwardly shuffling your way to the bathroom, "Call me when you're done." You said. With that, you disappeared behind the door. David sighed in relief and went over to his closet, which he was surprised to find a complete mess. Weird. He didn't have it like that when he left. Well, whatever, he thought, shrugging it off with a smile. Daniel glared at David's back for a second or two before looking back at the door. David, finally finding some more comfortable looking clothes, started to undress. "Alright! You can come out!" He chimed, throwing his wet clothes in a hamper at the end of his bed. You peeked out the door to make sure you heard right. Yep, David was dressed. Though, his outfit was a bit different, a pair of blue jeans and then what he would usually wear. Daniel grabbed your hand and brought you the rest of the way out. "Alright, so I guess we're kinda stuck here until the rain goes away. So, what do you guys feel like doing?" You asked, looking back and forth between them. David smiled childishly and ran over to a small cabnit next to the door. He knew the perfect game. He grabbed an old water bottle and showed it to the both of you. You and Daniel both looked at it a bit confused, "Umm, David? Mind explaining?" You asked, walking over to the side of the bed and picking up your shorts. "Both of you turn around." You said. They both nodded almost simultaneously and faced a wall opposite of you. You quickly slipped your shorts on whilst David thought about what might've happened whilst he wasn't around. He may have acted nieve, but he knew how to put two and two together. Did they? On my bed!? He thought, starting to mentally freak out. He could feel his face heating up. But quickly dismissed it. No. You wouldn't do something like that, surely. Would you? David shook his head. No, you wouldn't. There was no way. "Ok, you can look now." You said, interrupting his thoughts. Daniel blushed as he turned and looked at you. You had tucked in his shirt. That was literally it. Why was it making his face go red? Just the his heart seemed to be beating at an unspeakable pace and he tried his best to calm it down. "Ok, David, go." You said, pointing to him then the bottle. David nodded and sat criss crossed on the ground in front of them, to which they followed suit. "Ok," he said, almost as if he had to prepare for what he was about to say, even though the game itself was quite innocent, "So, we spin this bottle, and whoever it lands on has to choose between saying a truth, or doing a dare." He said. You nodded, thinking about how long it would really last with just three people playing. But, nonetheless, it did sound a little fun, "I'm game." You said, shrugging your shoulders. Daniel smiled widely and nodded. For he already knew exactly what he was going to ask, had it landed on you when it came to his turn to spin. "Alright then. Let's do this!" David exclaimed, making a little fist and leaning over to put the bottlein the middle of all of you. You got more and more nervous as it slowed down to a stop, "Daniel!" David yelled out excitedly, "Truth or dare?" He asked. Daniel looked thoughtfull fore a moment, as if he was actually considering the consequences of what option he choose. It was a small cabin, so there really wasn't much to do dare wise. So, he thought that would be the best option in terms of embarrassment, he half closed his eyes and smiled, if possible, even wider at David, "Dare." He said. As if he was about to start some sort of fight. David ignored this and thought for a moment before smirking, "I dare you to go and stand out in the rain for one full minute!" He exclaimed. You let out a little gasp followed by a quiet "oooo.." Daniel's pupils shrunk and he looked towards the door. "N-no problem. It's just some water." He said. You looked at him weird, he wasn't one to stutter as far as you knew. Getting up, you both watched in awe as he dashed out the door. Daniel shivered, rain hitting his face almost immediately, David looked at his watch, "And your time starts, now!" He said, pointing at Daniel for emphasis. He glared at David. Which caused a shiver to go up your spine, Daniel's glare was scary, his eyes seemed to glow through the small slits in the rain. His smile fading into a frown. Then a downright sneer, "Umm, David. I think this was a bad idea. Or maybe just a bad dare." You whispered. You jumped as his eyes darted over to you. David chuckled, "Oh come on, it's all in good fun!" He said. You sighed and looked back at the pissed looking blonde. Deciding to do what's right, you slowly walked out and towards him, "Come on. It's too cold for this kind of dare anyway." You said. Daniel's glare somewhat softened whilst you grabbed his arm and began to walk him back inside. David tried his best not to glare at Daniel's back as you two past him. You just, haven't been as fun with him as you used to. And most of your time was spent with Daniel. David didn't want to admit it, but he was actually more than a bit jealous. With Gwen gone and you not spending any time with him. He felt kind of lonely. "I'll see if I can't find some towels. Hey! David. Do you have any towels in here?" You asked. David looked back at you and smiled, "Sure I do, they're in the bathroom! They should be in the cupboard above the toilet!" He said happily. Though he was still pretty ticked at the fact that you hadn't offered him anything when he walked in soaking wet. You offered him a warm smile and walked back to the bathroom to look. Meanwhile David just awkwardly stood there whilst Daniel shivered, "So, did you and (y/n) have fun last night? I would've been here but I accidently fell asleep in (y/n)' s cabin." David said, trying to have a genuine conversation with his friend. Daniel shrugged, but then got an idea. Smiling wide over at David, Daniel thought about how to word what he was trying to say, "Yes, in fact we did. We talked for a while. I tried to go to bed, but she seemed to keep me up. Oh, and she seemed to like my shirt." Daniel said. Enjoying the horrified look on David's face, "Did you-?" David tried to ask, but was then cut off by Daniel, "Enjoy spending my time with her? Of course I did." He said. David chuckled nervously and looked to his left, "Hey David, I can't seem to find any!" You yelled from the bathroom. David took a minute to thank the Gods for that little miracle and walked over to help you out. "Oh! That's why you couldn't find them!" He said. Reaching up above your head, "I keep them on the top shelf, sorry." You glared at him and took the two towels he had in his hands, "Damn giraffe." You muttered. David tapped you on the shoulder, "Language." He joked. You let out a laugh and walked out of the bathroom to see Daniel still standing there dripping wet, "Sorry that took so long Dan." You said, handing him a towel, "Well thank yo-wait, Dan?" He asked, looking at you confused. You smiled up at him and put another towel on his head, "Yeah! You don't like it?" You asked, feeling a bit embarrassed. Daniel shook his head and his smile returned, "Not at all." He muttered. David looked from the doorway and crossed his arms. You had never given him a nickname. He tried his best to shake it off. Maybe Daniel was just too long. Yeah. That had to be it. "David, what time is it?" You asked, looking back at him, "12:30." He muttered. You looked at him confused, he didn't normally act like this. Well, except for when Gwen would tell him off or someone would prove him wrong, "You okay David?" You asked. Daniel looked over, "You David are you okay?" He said. David closed his eyes and smiled wide, "Yeah, maybe I'm just hungry." He said. You nodded. David may have been a twig, but he could sure eat. "Maybe." You muttered out. Still not completely convinced. Daniel put a now dry hand on your shoulder, " (n/n), do you think you could go back in the bathroom again so I can get changed. Sorry to stick ya in there so much." He said. You simply nodded and went back to the bathroom. Again. But hey, he needed to change. You understood. Looking at yourself in the mirror, you fixed your hair up a bit and spent the rest of the time just kind of sitting there on the toilet seat. Daniel dried the rest of his body off as he stripped down to just his boxers. "Hey David, could you grab my bag, it's right behind you." Daniel said, pointing. David smiled and picked it up, "Sure bud." He said. Trying to sound happy. Sure, he still respected Daniel, and genuinely wanted to be his friend. But he was just, just, he didn't know how to explain the feeling. He just, didn't like it when Daniel was around. Specifically around you.
