I'm falling...falling into the black abyss. I'm calling for someone but I don't know who. I suddenly sit up breathing heavily with sweat dripping off my face. I look to the side and I see my phone's screen lit up. I pick it up and I see my best friend Benny texted me. 'Hey Ash! Are you going to the Fall Festival? I think I might take Yessenia Zavala.' I responded to his message. 'Yo Benny, I was planning on going to the Fall Festival with you but I guess I can't.' I put my phone down and got up to get ready. I put my shoulder length hair in a ponytail as I got ready. I put on my black skinny jeans and my black Nirvana t-shirt then let my hair loose so I can style it. As I'm styling my hair someone knocks on my door. I walk to the door and open it, there stood Benny Lipatova my best friend since elementary school. Benny yells "what the fuck are you doing?! We're gonna be late!" I run into the bathroom and brush my fangs then I put in my spiked lip piercing. I put on my black beanie and my rubber barbed wire bracelet. I grab my dorm key and my backpack. We run to Benny's blue Ford Escape and get in. We finally get to school and go into our first class...PE. "Benny, I don't want to do this. I'd rather be in band playing my guitar." I sighed. "Ash, I know you hate PE but you need to do this class because you need the credits." I roll my eyes and unlock my locker. I get changed and head into the gym.

We get out of school and head back to my dorm. "Benny I'll be right back. I'm gonna get us drinks." I get off the floor and and go to the kitchen. I grab a couple Rockstars and walk back into the main part of my dorm. "How's band for you Ash?" I sigh. "It's okay I guess. It's pretty boring." He laughs. "That's to be expected from the great Ash Cai." He laughs again and I roll my eyes. "So Ash. Do you like anyone?" Benny asked. "I have someone in mind but I don't know." He looks at me with interest. "Who?" I blush slightly. "Her name's Winter." His eyes widen. "What?! She's WAY out of your league man!" I blush deep red. "Shut up!" We both laugh. He gets up and grabs his stuff. "Well I gotta go home before I get grounded." I stand up and follow him to the door. "Okay man I'll see you later." He leaves and I get in the shower. I wash up and get out then get ready for bed.
