I woke up with my alarm at the crack of dawn as usual. My phone went off with my alarm saying " Good morning, Jacob, the current weather is 65 degrees. The date is Friday, October 7, 2017." I never really liked that alarm, but I liked the fact that it told me the weather on demand. I got up got dressed, and went straight to the subway. I was always on the 161 first street train, really only to see the Yankee Stadium. The only problem was that my job was ten miles away, so every day I went on the bus. and walked the last three blocks.
When I got to work the office was rambling. Everyone seemed to be on edge. Mr. Cooper, the head of the place was yelling at everyone. This was not uncommon though, but there was a slight sense of fear in his eyes. I was standing at the door when he yelled. " Ramirez, get me a double espresso stat!"
"Yes, sir!" I said immediately.
I waited for his coffee to be made at the machine, as I waited I looked at the sky. The sun was slowly being covered by dark clouds. I watched as the streets of Brooklyn were darkened by the sky. I checked my watch it was almost 8:00 a.m, I had to get to my desk and open up a new document for my next story. I gave Mr. Cooper his coffee, and he continued to yell almost out of fear.
Normally if he were screaming out of fear i'd be scared, but really you can never understand the guy. He has the thickest Irish accent anyone will ever hear, and his big red beard doesn't help either. I didn't think much of it and began to work as usual.
