an : No one has really wrote anything about Kai Anderson. I suppose it is due to the fact that he is a trump supporter and goes against opinions of others, however this does not interfere with my love for Evan. Therefore here is a quick drabble that is absolute trash.
The tea kettle started to whistle from it's spot on the burner. You padded over and lifted it up, and poured the contents into the porcelain mug containing a tea bag.
After hearing about the suicide and murder that had happened just down the street, you had been uneasy and unwilling to leave much. Winter, one of your close friends from college had brought up how tea can calm your nerves ,give a sense of peace and tranquility, so you gave it a try.
Your fingertips grazed over the colored buttons of the remote. You pressed down on one to power on the tv, while you sat criss cross on the sofa and held your mug with both hands. The screen brightened and came to life only to reveal a severely battered man. He had his blue hair tied up into a tight bun save for some loose strands at his nape, his roots were a light blonde and he had deep bruises under his eyes with his arm in a sling. This had caught your attention so you turned the volume up and listened. He was ranting about how the city was unsafe, and how he got beat up by illegal immigrants. It was obvious he was a trump supporter.
You went on with your day like any other until you heard a loud knock erupt from the front door. Cautiously you shuffled to the door and took a deep breath before opening the heavy metal door.
The man from tv stood before you as you looked through the glass door.
He sported a bow tie and dark colored suit along with a dress shirt underneath." Hello, Miss..Ma'm? Any name seems to offend women now a days." he said under his breath with a tiny smile. dimples.
You leaned against the door frame, but didn't make a move to open the door.
" Kai Anderson. I'm running for City Council..I hope that this town sees and thinks of me fondly ..rather than a broken and beaten man."
the tall man spewed with some dramatic gestures with his good hand. You just watched him slowly before swallowing the lump building up in your throat.
" I-I just saw you on the news actually..I-I'm umm..sorry for what happened." you murmured.
" No need to apologize Ma'm.." his fingers flew to the bridge of his nose to pinch in it frustration. " Miss..I mean." he corrected himself.
You watched and eyed him down slowly, you didn't mean to come off rude, but you felt a sense of uneasiness in his presence.
" Anyway..here." he held out a small card with some information printed in small font. " Vote for me and you will never have to worry about ending up like well ..me." he spoke.
You cracked the door and reached a shaky hand out to retrieve the card.
" It is so hot out. Do you mind if I come inside for a glass of water? " he questioned with a raise of his brows.
You simply nodded and moved away from the door to let him inside.
Once in the kitchen, you two sat at the small kitchen island. He with a tall glass of water and you with your hands tangled together in your lap.
You watched him drain the glass, how his adam's apple bobbed when he swallowed down the fortifying liquid, and how his jaw clenched before he spoke.
" I assume you are scared...with the results of the election,"
Just the mention of the event made shivers rush down your spine in tingles. Everything felt so out of balance now.
Kai noticed you tense up as he rested his glass down on the coaster you had provided, " That's a yes?" he said more than he actually asked. " Everyone is." he continued then let out a small sigh.
" There are ways to cope. Instead of locking yourself up in your home and-" you cut him off. " I know. Vote for you." you said with a small nod and your eyes casted downwards. He snickered
" That and..well I can show you a trick." he said as a grin cracked over his lips. His smile gave a sinister and uneasy vibe off when you dared to lift your head up.
" Like what?" you asked while your fingers toyed with your loose, grey sweats.Kai extended his arm out, his elbow planted firmly to the table, yet his hand reached out to you. " Lock pinkies with me. Flesh to flesh." he whispered lowly.
" Umm..what?" you asked incredulously and stared at his hand in disbelief, he was literally a stranger.
" I can take that fear away..don't you want to be able to leave your own house? to be liberated from the cell fear has locked you in?" the blue haired man questioned in a deep tone.
You weren't sure if your next choice was mentally stable or not , but against your own thoughts you reached out your hand to wrap your pinky around his.
His face remained expressionless as he spoke.
" Now that we are flesh to flesh..you must answer my questions, don't try to lie, I can sense it..just give me your fear." he said with his dark glimmering eyes piercing into your soul, it felt like a hole was going to burn into you from his incriminating gaze." What is your greatest fear?"
" C-Clowns."
" What is the worst physical pain you have ever experienced?"
" When I broke my wrist in the 8th grade."
" What is the most immense moment of pleasure you have experienced?"
" L-Losing my virginity."
" To who?"
" Paul Abduel."
Once he was done questioning you, he released your pinky from his with a small grin.
You felt somehow relieved, like he really did suck the fear from your very body.
" T-Thank you."
" Come by my house..to the basement at midnight." he said and laid down a small slip of paper with his address scrawled on it before he left.
