Remembering Her

She Seems Familiar

Rogue was sitting in his room in the inn thinking about the Grand Magic Games and how Fairy Tail was participating this year and how all the mages that had disappeared had finally come back. Whenever he thinks of Fairy Tail he thinks of his first and only love. As the years went on he got emotionless, and as his emotions went his visual memory of the girl started to fade as well. His only memory of her now was that she had sun golden hair.

Sun golden hair got him thinking about Salamander's blonde partner. He wondered why she looked at him as if she was reminiscing about something. He saw the tears and sad smile and wondered why she made this expression at him. The thought was quickly forgotten as he remembered that slightly sadistic smirk she gave toward the Salamander when she threatened him with the wrath of Titania. He chuckled as he thought, Here I thought she was just soft, guess you really can't judge a book by it's cover.

Unfortunately, Rogue forgot he was not alone, but was reminded when he heard a gasp from the other bed. When he turned his head he saw a wide-eyed Sting staring at him with his mouth agape. Not understanding why he was getting this look he asked, "What?"

"Y-you just ch-chuckled. IS THE WORLD ENDING?!"

With a sigh Rogue says, "No Sting the world is not ending. What's wrong with me chuckling?"

"What were you thinking about that would make you chuckle?"

"I was thinking about how that blonde girl seemed kind of sadistic when she was threatening the Salamander."

Sting crossed his arms and said with a grump, "Tch. That chick had the nerve to call us pussy cats."

"I thought it was quite amusing. I didn't think she would have good comeback type things in that brain of hers. She may not look it but she's smart. May be a tough opponent if there's a game of wits and strategy."

"Yeah right. I bet she's not as smart as Rufus though."

"While that may be true if she doesn't have memory make, but she could still give him a run for his money."

"She just looks like a cheap prostitute."

Rogue thought about this, he agreed that she did and wondered if she was or if she just dressed like that. "Well maybe she wants us to think that she's not a threat. Ya know put our guard down so she can strike."

"I didn't sense much magic power coming from her she seemed weak. I think she's a celestial spirit mage from the keys attached to her belt."

Rogue paused and thought, he did see those keys. Some of them seemed familiar to him. Now that he thought about it the girl kind of seemed familiar to him altogether. He couldn't quite put his finger on where he knows her from though. He put those thoughts away and looked back at his blond friend and said, "Again she's smart she may use her spirits in a strategic way that gets her the win, I wouldn't count her out yet."

"Tch. Whatever you say."

Time skip

It's the first day of the games and Rufus won the first competition. Now it's on to fights and to Rogue's surprise and believe or not happiness it's Lucy fighting. He knew that Raven Tail played dirty but he didn't think they would bring innocent bystanders into it.

Rogue watched helplessly as Flare was about to burn the Raven Tail insignia over Lucy's Fairy Tail mark, until he heard Natsu scream that she was in the clear. Rogue watched in awe as Lucy quickly grabbed a key and summoned a spirit. He had to fight back a blush as Gemini came out as Lucy but only in a towel. He was slightly angered at the fact that most of the men in the audience, including his best friend, were giving cat calls and wolf whistles at the towel clad doppelganger. The audience quieted down when Lucy started to chant a spell that caused the whole arena to be covered in a blue light with planets and stars floating around. As she finished the spell it was about to be launched when it suddenly vanished. Everyone looked on in confusion as Lucy laid there beaten and exhausted. Rogue knew the spell used a lot of magic energy but it had still been casted, it should have hit Flare. He knew something wasn't right with that fight and he wanted to find out what it was and why the spell just disappeared.
