Chapter 6
I looked at my self at the mirror. I saw myself in a twin pony tails tied with red ribbons. It was cute. It really was. But then, "No matter how I tie it, It's no use!" I threw the mirror. Goddammit! I saw many bad hair standing up. "That's it! I'm buying a wig!"
Princesses need long hair. I went down immediately. I was in a rush so I didn't bother to change my long skirt and heart printed blouse. I must have a long hair. I must be a princess. Other wise, the prince... "Will never come." I bit my lip. I was walking towards our gate. "He will! He will definitely come!" Come here my Prince.
"Da--" I saw Daniel Hall. Oh right. We were at the same area, my house and his.
"What's with that get-up?" He laughed at me! "Are you going at a costume party?!" He pointed at me and continued laughing.
"What bad luck! To see your face even on the weekend..." I turn around to the opposite direction. I felt a slap on my back.
"You should feel lucky that you're able to see your prince!" What a conceited voice I heard.
"You're not a Prince!" Finally, I looked at him in the eyes with my anger at its peak.
"Ever since you cut my hair when we were little, I have never had my hair cut until now, and you..." before I can finish my dramatic line, he took my hand and dragged me to I don't know where. I saw different boutiques with different branded shoes, dresses and bags.
"Good Morning, Sir Hall! Is she Amber that had an appointment?" We entered a salon. I sat down the chair.
"What do you want to do with your hair today?" He touched my twin ponies. I looked at Dan, "Uhm. Dan... This... I think I'm in a wrong place."
Yeah. Definitely wrong. "There are people coming over to my house today. You are my girlfriend in name. We have to do something about your hair." he ended the sentence with a disgusting look. No, really. Curse you Dan. Why do you care! Bastard. Jerk. Inhuman!
I saw him get the magazine and pointed something. "Just cut this style for her." What are you saying? "Hey! Who told you to make the decision for me, Asshole! At least let me see what the style is like..."
I was somewhat anxious. "Silver Perm. with little curls." The image flashed in my mind was a middle-aged man with heart shaped hair line and with a silver small little curls.
Na ah. I don't want. No thank you. I dashed to the exit but Daniel bumped into me and it was a direct hit on my head. I'm feeling unconscious now. Silver perm. What princess has this kind of hair. Daniel is trying to ruin me. Ah.. Silver perm.
"Hey! Amber! Wake up!" I felt a shrugged on my shoulder. "We're going!"
Oh. Silver Perm! I immediately look at the mirror. What kind of horr-- Eh? This... This... This is me? My hair was short now. Really short. More like, a boy's cut but he's right. There were little curls. I had a few bangs too. "Ahhh! No! I look like Prince Sapphire from Butterfly Knights!" It suits me. "Whatever. Let's go!"
We were walking again passing different famous stores. The people were looking at me not at Dan. I tugged Dan's shirt. Must be my hair is bad.
"I feel even more awkward here-"
"That's right. Don't touch me! Please keep a 1-meter distance away from me!" I let him go. "What? You're the one who brought me here!"
But I followed him into a famous dress boutique. "Please let the weird girl over there to try the dress on display."
No way. That dress is expensive! "What are you saying?" I whispered. "If you can't pay for it, we'll get arrested!"
"You don't have to pay to try on." He's right but still. "Miss this way please." The sales lady opened the curtains fitting room for me. "Go." Daniel said.
