I return home after a long day of school and as always my dad doesn't notice I'm there. He's never really liked me that's for sure. My dad has always favored my older brother Alec because he's the first born so all the money goes to him and I get nothing. Plus he's the caption of the football team so he gets the scholarships and knowing my dad he'll pay a million dollars to get my brother in a good collage. While I'll get stuck going to a small community collage.
The only thought I can get to my head why my family doesn't like me. my mom died when I was born. It seems like it because every birthday that Ive had my dad reminds me that I'm the reason why mom is dead. It makes me feel guilty every time he brings it up to be honest. There wasn't a single day I wasn't blamed by my dad for things that have happened.
I walk out of the entry way walking towards my dad tapping his shoulder. Hey dad I say forcing a smile on my face. He turns with a smile probably hoping it was Alec but his smile went down seeing me in front of him. Oh hi Jillian, we're is Alec. I sigh rolling my eyes, he got picked up by the shofar. Oh that's right he gets picked up"he says with a grin, go on with what your doing son.
Sometimes I can't believe why my dad treats me this way. I think if I just ran away he wouldn't even notice that I left. I keep my mouth shut even though I want to stand up for my self but it's best for me to stay quiet. Knowing my dad if I did stand up he would do terrible things just to put shame on me. When I think about it Alex would do the same because he'll do anything for dads happiness.
I walk upstairs to my room which is the smallest room in the house but it's manageable. Putting my bag down Dian walks in. She's honestly the only person who's nice to me in this house hold. I wish she was apart of my family instead of our house maid. When she comes near me she says in a serious tone " come I heard your father saying something".
She grabs me by the hand sneaking by the steps hiding behind the dresser near the stairs. I hear the voice of my dad talking to Alec " I don't like Jillian Alec". Dian this isn't news, dad has never liked me. Listen closer Jillian Dian whispers. I hear Alec laughing loud " no one in he family likes him dad he's worthless to us". Typical Alec Diana he's always talking about me like that.
Listen boy Dian says pointing at my dad. Look we could leave him somewhere in the city. He doesn't know the way back my dad says in the most cheerful voice. My jaw drops, I don't know what to think at this point. My own dad wanting me out of his life.
To be continued.....
