Lucas's POV:

Everyday of my life is as hard as it can get. But I chose it to be this way and I don't regret it. I'm the best at what I do and I really like my job. I could never imagine myself as something else. And this day started off like every other day, which means I overslept... AGAIN!

30 missed calls from Tom! Seriously dude, does he ever even sleep? But I knew I had something to do and I had to talk to Tom about it. Robert had crossed the line and I had to give him a call. Tom was probably waiting for me in his office and I'd better not let him wait. He sure is going to be mad at me about last night. My car needed some serious repairing. I still don't know why my car isn't bulletproof. And Tom says I have nothing to complain about! Ha! Take that old man!

I'm not usually so hyperactive but today I am feeling good. At least while I'm still in my house. Once I feel the asphalt under my feet, my serious face will come on. I knew I had to call Robert immediately. I found his number on my phone and called but he didn't respond. Sooo now...was time to call Tom.

"Hey Tom, my man!" 30 missed calls dude, 30 fucking calls! You must really love me." I said trying way too hard to be funny. I knew I was in trouble.

"Lucas tell that damn brother of yours that we've had enough of him and next time you won't be there to save his ass but to kill it"-yeah, he was pretty mad but at least he didn't mention last night...yet.

"And don't you think I forgot about last night Lucas! What the hell were you thinking??!! You could've gotten yourself killed!" I had to respond to this

"You know, it would've been a lot easier to keep my ass alive if my car was bulletproof! Tom sighted.

"If you wanted to keep your fucking ass alive then you should've followed the rules! But you never listen, do you? You had one job, Lucas, one job! To go there, put some damn cameras on his house and get the fuck out of there without being noticed. How hard is it?"
Yeah I know, Tom can be a real pain in the ass sometimes.

"You know what Tom, I really have to call Robert, I gotta go."

"No, no, Lucas don't hang up on me! I'm your boss! Luca..."- like he said; I never listen. Of course I hung up on him. But I really had to call Robert again. And again he didn't pick it up. Although I hated doing it, I had to call Tom again.
Luckily for me, he was calm.

"Tom, he's not answering. He's avoiding us. I wouldn't be surprised if he has changed his number."

"Find him Lucas. Find h... Hellooo? Lucas?"

I couldn't understand how I ended up with coffee all over my shirt! And who the hell bumped into me and broke my phone!

"Watch where you're going, idiot!! Oh that's just GREAT!! THAT'S JUST SO GREAT!! Now I have to buy another coffee!! Get out of my way"- a girl screamed at me. I swear I couldn't even open my mouth. How the hell was it my fault? And just like that, she was gone! She didn't even say "sorry".

Where's this world going to? I picked up my phone. It was broken badly. Why couldn't phones be bulletproof too? I swear these people are trying to get me killed. Luckily, I managed to buy another phone somewhere near. It wasn't the best, but it did the job. I called Tom again.

"Lucas? What the fuck happened there? Don't tell me you got fucking shot!"

"Chill bro, nothing happened. Just some crazy girl bumped into me, broke my phone, spilled coffee all over my shirt and blamed it on me!!- and I forgot why I even called him- now tell me, Tom, is it just me or is she really the most annoying and the craziest girl ever?"

"Lucas, I seriously doubt you called to tell me this. But I guess she left you speechless and considering that doesn't happen very often, since you never shut up... I already like that girl. Now back to business."

"Yeah, right, so imma go change my shirt and I'll meet you in the office because I have some serious explanation to do."- I said trying to sound like him.

I went home and decided to go with a black leather jacket. I took my motorcycle and headed out. The motorcycle was for protection, you know, just in case someone decides to bump into me again and spill coffee on my jacket.

That reminded me I hadn't had MY morning coffee yet. I sat into a little café. It was warm and cozy. I kinda felt thankful to the crazy girl. If it wasn't for her, I would still be on that shirt and I'd freeze to death. I looked from the window. It was going to start raining very soon.

And then I saw her. I shook my head and looked again. Yes. It was definitely her. And she owed me an apology. I ran out of the café, crossed the street and reached her. I grabbed her hand as I said:

"I think you have some serious explanation to do, miss"- I turned her around so she could face me. And she did.

God, she was beautiful! Long brown hair, sun kissed skin and... damn, those eyes. I've never seen greener eyes in my life. Emerald eyes, there was no other word to describe 'em. I opened my mouth to say something. Something like "excuse me, crazy woman but you owe me an apology AND a new phone" but I couldn't.

Her eyes had me captivated and I couldn't look away. There's something about green eyes. They're mysterious, unreadable. Hers looked like they had billions of treasures lost in their depths. I tried to read them, I tried so hard to read her eyes. Really, it would've been easier if I had tried to read her mind. Then I noticed something, or better yet, I felt something. She had had a bad day, that I could tell.

"Are you ok, miss?"- my voice came out more worried than I had intended . I saw how her emotions changed inside her and her eyes now expressed anger, hatred even.

"You're all the same aren't you?"- she said and she left. It started raining but I didn't notice at first. Was she really just crazy or... something else? Once again I was... speechless.
