The Land of Remorii: The Capital of Hope

Chapter 1

(Character 1)

"Please! Someone!" Her ghostly voice echoed off the walls, but no one could hear her.

The castle halls were long and empty, her voices only a small wind to any awake ears. Guards had left to spend time with their families for the night, so there was no chance of anyone stumbling upon her. Shadows cast from the few torches cast eerie shadows, licking every inch of the castle. Blood... the blood of her beloved was splattered over her white dress, the darkness of the night making the blood seem like black, endless voids. She sat there, her beloved in her lap, crying. What had happened...? Why had it happened...? She had watched as he had walked only a few feet before an unknown arrow pierced his side, causing him to topple helplessly to the floor. Her eyes widened and stared in horror before she rushed to his aid as he let out a small moan of pain. She whispered soft, reassuring words telling him to hold on and that he would be alright. She watched him, begged him to stay with her, to not leave her behind like others had as he bled out in her arms. His once warm body that she loved to embrace and cuddle had melted into a lifeless doll that contained no soul. A mysterious glowing stone, a gem radiating heat, emerged from his chest. It's blue rays made the hallway, even more, gloomier instead of brighter, but the woman simply embraced it, tears wildly streaming down her face.

"You will not be forgotten..."

_________ fell out of her bed, causing her to land on the floor with a thud. A few of the other servants awoke to the sound, only to find _______ before slumping back into bed to go back to sleep. Despite the fact that it was early morning, _______ felt energized and eager to start the day.
