*Bella's mom POV*Our everyday lives revolve around the Children's Hospital in North Carolina. My husband Michael is a US marine. So, he isn't home very much and it is hard, but I shouldn't be complaining. My daughter is the only one that is allowed to complain even though she is to stubborn to do so.
Where are my manners, my name is Carla Noma. I am Bella's mother. I stay by her side for as long as possible. She is not a normal kid, and she does know this. We try our best to prepare Bella for what could happen to her. She cried the first time we told her she could pass, but I believe that her father and I cry more than she does. She has the strongest spirit I have ever seen.
I still remember it like it was yesterday. When she was told that she had cancer she cried and cried, but after she was done crying she told us, "Don't worry. I will beat this. I promise." The funny thing about that is that she said it with a smile and such determination that I had full faith in her and I still do. I...we will be with her till the complete and utterless end.
It may sound like I'm bragging when I say she is the strongest child I have ever met, but I truly believe it. Not every kid can say that they live in a hospital ,or is to weak to walk on their own, or that they promised not to give up no matter what.
It is hard on everyone in the family not just me and her father. Everyone was pretty shocked, and people come and visit but they always leave pretty quickly. If I were my daughter I don't think I would have been able to live this long. Not getting to be around your friends all the time or not going to school like she wants. I would be bored out of my mind. I bet she is, but like I said, that girl doesn't complain much. Yet, when she feels up to it we do in fact do school work so she can keep up. It is against doctors wishes, but shhh....I didn't tell you. And she just wants to go to school like a normal kid if that is something I can give her than I will.
I mean what else are mothers for right...
