It has been a week but the killer is still on the loose and the police is yet to find out who it is.
Everything is in chaos from the mansion to the company for the sudden loss of the master and mistress of the family and Kei isn't fit for the job to manage both since she was trained to protect her family and she is clearly upset that she did not manage to protect them, she swore that this time she willl protect to those who are dear to her and she won't let them out of sight just to go missing.
Kei is currently at her little brother's room watching over him while he slept making sure things are going to be alright. she was about to leave the room when suddenly mike started to move around.
"Mike?" she called but the little man just kept on squirming around and clearly not awake.
"Mom, dad" mike talked in his sleep.
"Mike wake up!" kei raised her voice but nothing seems to work.
"No please un-" he then jolted awake startling kei.
"Shhh, it's alright big sis is here" she cooed at her little brother that is on the verge on bawling.
"sissy, sissy!" he hugged her and started to cry.
"It's alright, I'm here no one is gonna hurt you." she said to him.
"But the man *hic the man was going to t-take m-me *hic and do the same with you" he spoke between his crying fit.
"Now, now, no one is going to take you away from me, I'm here to protect you, I won't let anyone get you" she cooed.
After a while the little man had calmed down and aske her a question she never thought she'll hear.
"sissy, where is big brother?"
Kei was taken a back by mike's question, mike was only a few months old when kogane was sent to a school overseas to learn more about managing their family company and since he left there was no communication between the family and kogane and it has been a while since she have heard kogane's name being mentioned.
"You know him?" she asked.
"Yeah, mommy said he'll be back before you came home but he hasn't" he replied.
"Mommy told me about big bro when daddy wasn't around."he added
hmm? did dad not want to mention kogane?
"I see, then if mommy said that he should be here soon and you get to meet him." she answered
"Well then let's get you back to sleep okay? i'll be here when you wake up in the morning." she added, the little man just nodded laid back down.
Kei tucked her little brother back to bed and hummed a lullaby to help him sleep and after the lullaby she too, fell asleep.
*time skip
"Young lady," mario stated "it seems like the police are getting nowhere with their investigations." he said.
"That I know of, I'll just have to wait for sean to fully recover, i'll let him handle it and also i want you to give Mr. Roberts a call i want to meet him" she replied.
"Yes i will, but about sir sean is he-" he was cutted off when a crying mike came into the study and excused himself.
"Come here" she told him and mike walked to her slowly and still sobbing.
"Wha-" she was cutted off when someone barged in into the room.(A/N: seriously everyone is getting cutted off it seems. ha! )
"There you are my dear, i've come to see you" he stated "and you too mike" he gave the frightened mike a smile, a smile that doesn't seem to be too friendly.
"Ah, uncle what can I do for you?" kei asked him
"I would like to know what will happen to your father's company" he answered.
So this guy is only after the company and the estate. huh?.
"That has been taken care of, I will do what I can with the company till my brother comes back." she stated.
"That brother of yours is not coming back as he had abandoned the family for years" he said with disgust
"He'll be back and he will take over, no one and i mean no one is fit to manage the company and the estate aside from kogane" she replied coldly
"If that's all you can leave" she added and left the room with little mike clinging to her.
"Mike? what's wrong? did something happened?" she asked mike as she make her way to her room.
"Sissy, the man, i mean uncle, I saw him holding a gun before sean grabbed me." he said to her.
"Uncle? uncle did that?" she said to herself.
"And i heard him saying about everyone dying and take over i don't know what meant when he says take over" mike told her
"But what does he mean take over? and also he called a man named Daniel" he added.
"I see, so you've heard, come on here it's fine he won't be coming here again i will make sure of that" she reassured him. Mike was too young to cope on everything that his happening around him.
"Come let's go see sean, he should be discharged tommorow."she added and dragged little mike into her car.
"Mario, we'll be heading to see sean take care of the things around here for now." she ordered.
"Yes, of course" he replied.
"Bye-bye, mario!" mike exclaimed.
"Take care young master." he replied
"Come now mike we don't want to be late visiting big brother sean now do we?." kei called mike over.
"Let's go!" he exclaimed.
Kei and mike left for the hospital without noticing the silhouette of a person in a nearby pine tree.
"She has just returned but things are getting too much for her to handle without the help of her missing idiotic brother" the man said to himself and went deeper into the woods.
Kei had a trouble keeping an excited mike in place while driving and now they are at the hospital mike seems to be more excited meeting Sean.
"Hey, hey, calm down mike" she tried to calm him from his excitement but failed miserably being unable to do anything she had no choice but to let out a big sigh and let herself get dragged by the little guy into Sean's room not knowing that Sean has an unexpected visitor.
