From space, the entire planet glittered like a diamond, but in reality, Coruscant was just layers and layers of cities built on top of each other. Once the First City, now known as the Deeps, grew too overpopulated, a new layer would grow overnight. These new cities were made with plenty of room for Senate buildings, which were constructed from the hard earned livings of less important individuals, and free of the less glamorous dwellings of the people who had actually built the city in the first place. A new layer was built every few years so that the wealthy could spend their Credits in peace without having to see the homeless unfortunates who slept in the retired drain tunnels because they had nowhere else to go.
As the layers of the city grew, the Deeps became darker and more infested with the parasites of the Underworld. Planets run by criminals were nothing compared to major the crime organizations, assassins, and general scum that festered in the Deeps. The strong crushed the weak, but only after they took all their money. And anyone who wants to keep all of their limbs attached never walks the streets alone.
So a group of three slightly built girls and one boy were the definition of easy targets. The four of them were wearing shabby brown and blue cloaks to help them blend into the crowd. What the other space scum didn't know was that these people weren't actually prime candidates for the average snatch and grab job. Beneath the seemingly soft exteriors and dingy cloaks, the group was a well-oiled machine, with plenty of nerve and weapons to spare. The four of them walked in a V formation, seemingly without purpose, but the boy led the way, spearheading the group with an attitude of total capability, two girls on either side, hands tucked beneath their cloaks, resting on the hilts of high voltage shock batons, and the last girl falling in behind, keeping her eyes open for people following or anyone who might be interested in approaching them.
"Gill," said the girl on his left, who was medium height and had her blue hood pulled down far over her head and a pair of blasters looped around her hips. "Hang a left. We have to get to the train platform soon or it'll be sunrise before we make it to the surface."
Gill grinned, "Will do boss lady! Hanging left." They swerved to the side. Tabitha, the girl on his right, and Armada, the girl behind him, followed, effortlessly sliding into the stream of people descending to the train platforms.
"Which train are we taking?" Tabitha asked and re-adjusted her cloak to make sure the long range, double barreled sniper rifle was firmly attached to her back and completely concealed.
"The 802." Quinn, the leader of the group answered. "It leaves in three minutes, takes us right to the surface and from there we'll walk to the Jedi temple. And then it's game time."
