Aaron Prangly x OC (Mass Effect 3) pt 1

"We can't hold on anymore!" The frightened voice of Aaron Prangly could barely be heard over the gun shots and screaming.

The auburn haired girl grunted as another rocket hit her barrier. "I know, but we've got to try!"

"Where's the backup Sanders said was coming?!" The brown haired female next to her exasperated.

"I don't know, Rodriguez, I don't know!"

The auburn haired girl dropped to her knees as another rocket hit her barrier. She grunted and looked over her shoulder. "Someone comm Sanders, we aren't gonna make it any longer!"

"Everlyn! Murphy jumped the gun, said he was gonna even the odds!" Someone yelled from the back.

Everlyn cursed under her breath and shot a glance to Prangly. "Think you can hold the shield?"

Prangly nodded, shifting his left foot back slightly as he prepared to force more energy into the barrier. "Y-yeah! I got this!"

Everlyn nodded, strands of her hair falling into her line of sight. Taking a deep breath, she prepared to launch herself over the edge of balcony.

"Cover me!" She grinned over her shoulder before diving forward over the balcony.

Her body was encompassed by a blue glow as she instinctively used her biotics as she landed. Rolling forward, she pushed off with her hands and took off in a sprint towards a tall, blonde haired male and the mech in front of him.

'I swear, if we live through this, Murphy is gonna get it!' Everlyn thought harshly as she slid beside Murphy before stopping in front of him and throwing up a shield to stop the rocket aimed at him.

Huffing, she reared her arm back and expelled the gathering energy in her hand, forcing the mech back a few steps. Quickly, she turned to Murphy who had a stunned and frightened expression on his face.

"Don't just stand there! Get back to the group, we need you alive!" She screeched, shoving him back towards the stairwell that lead back to the balcony.

Hearing the guns on the on the mech charge up for another attack, she gave him one last look before turning her attention towards the mech to accept what she thought would be her last moment alive.
