Della, help me! Help us! We need your help! Where are you!? Help! Help! He's not going to let me go, Della! He's got us! Help!!
The screams of future Hydra victims woke me as well as someone shaking me awake.
"Della, you were yelling in your sleep," Bucky said when I jolted awake.
"I, um," I rubbed at my eyes and looked up at him. "Just a bad dream."
He nodded at me and patted my arm. He turned to walk away but suddenly grabbed my arm instead, dragging me out of bed. His face changed and instead of Bucky standing over me it was Valentín. He pinned me down onto the cold floor and laughed. I tried to get up but I struggled against his weight. I tried to fight back, claw at him, scream, but I was powerless.
Then he took a knife out and crouched down to look at me. His face was fixed into that taunting smirk he'd use anytime I was near, he was enjoying this.
"I've missed you, Ruzový," he purred just before he bent down and gave me a wet kiss on the mouth then plunge the dagger it into my chest.I screamed awake the next time around, I had fallen out of bed. I wiped away drool from my face with shaky hands. I took in my surroundings and sighed in relief. Feeling my chest, where he stabbed me, was the bullet wound where he shot me. It was healed but it ached from time to time like a bad knee. I was in my own room on the floor trying to ease my breathing. I sat there crying for a bit before there was a knock on my door. I wiped the tears off of my face and walked to answer it. I looked up at my visitor.
"Hey, Thor, what's up?," I smiled up at him.
Being here in Asgard these past few weeks have been a relaxing and stress free experience. Thor kept his promise on taking me and Bucky up here. Being away from Earth has given me the chance to relax and get back into my fighting weight. I've lost a lot of weight when I was being held and being here, with Thor, he's got me like a fat house cat. I look better and felt it too, waking up when I want to, and eating when I want to. Thor always asks if I wanna go out for a fight, doesn't make me. Bucky has a smile on most of the time up here and has been the chillest person.
"I heard screams. Bad dreams?," he asked me while handing me a cup of tea they made here to soothe that problem.
"Yeah," I let him into my room and we took a seat on the balcony to talk.
"You didn't have them before, why now?," he looked awake while he spoke as if being woken up at this time wasn't a bother at all.
I shrugged but I knew why. I was going back home today. Something I've been dreading all week. Thor kept me occupied with a variety of hunts and parties but tonight was when it hit me.
"Is it because you are going back to Earth?," Thor never missing anything.
I sipped my tea before sighing deeply. "Yeah."
He nodded. "You can stay as long as you like, I've said many times."
I smiled up at him. "I'd love to, Thor, and I will definitely come back as soon as my schedule opens up."
He chuckled at that.
"I just have a promise to uphold, I have to go back sometime."
He nodded in understanding. "In the end, all we have is our word."
I'm gonna miss him the most and the food.
"Do not work too much," he gave me a weary look.
I agreed with him.
"I'll visit you as well. How does that sound?," he gave me a light punch on my arm.
"Sounds great. I'll show you around, take you sightseeing and let you try new food."
He chuckled loudly. "Sounds like a plan!"The morning came and I was filled with dread about leaving this place. Everyone showed me a great time and no one flinched when I was around. I'll admit I'll be happy to see my dad when I get back. We didn't have much time together but he knew that I deserved this trip. He's heard countless stories from the team, no doubt. It'll be nice to see Steve and the rest of the team. I wonder if Pietro will be happy to see me. He was rather upset when he heard I was leaving.
*Three weeks ago*
"I can't wait!," I shouted and threw my arms around Thor.
"I'm glad to see you so happy. We will leave in the morning," he patted my back.
"Can Bucky come as well," I asked, making sure the invitation was still there for him.
He grinned. "Of course! It will be good for the soldier to take a vacation!"
I smiled up at Thor. "I'm gonna go start packing."
I left and started for my room when I remembered about Bucky. I knocked on his door and he answered promptly.
"Della, what can I help you with," he gave me a small smile.
"You, my friend, are going to Asgard with me!"
He looked at me. "Where?"
"Asgard, Thor's home. He's invited us to stay for a few weeks."
He thought this through. "Do I need to pack a jacket?"
I smiled up at him. "I would, just in case. I'll ask Thor later about the weather."
"This will be good," he nodded to himself.I was packing up a bunch of clothes I probably won't need when there was a quick knock on my door. I grinned at the thought of who was at my door.
"Come in," I called to Pietro.
He entered rather quickly and was sitting on the edge of my bed in seconds. "I hear you are going on a trip."
I nodded. "It's gonna be so much fun, I can't wait!"
He smiled at my enthusiasm but looked down at the floor. "Bring me back a souvenir, yeah?"
"I will," I sensed something else that he wanted to say. "What's up?"
He mussed up his hair before putting his hands back in his lap. He was always fidgeting. "You could stay here."
I looked at him for a second. "What do you mean?"
He stood up then and walked around my room, pacing. "You could stay and we could go somewhere. We can take a trip, I can show you my home if you would like. What's left anyways."
He doesn't want me to go. I sat down on my bed and smiled up at him, I needed the break from this place. Who knows if they would even let us go? The only reason Fury said yes to the trip was because there was no arguing with Thor. "I would love to go with you, Pietro. But I already promised Thor and Bucky we were going to Asgard. Maybe when I get back we can go."
He wasn't looking at me. He was hurt from what I could sense so I was surprised when he left abruptly. As quick as he came he was gone.
When I was heading out with Bucky and Thor everyone was outside to say goodbye except for Pietro. It tore at me that he was so upset and that he couldn't support my decision.*Now*
I held onto this blue rock that I found while out on a hunt, I held more in my bag. Thor said I could take them back with me. The rock reminded me of Pietro's glow while he ran. I held it to my chest and hoped for a warm welcome.(What do you think so far? Hope you like where this story heads.)
